Baked Custard

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Good recipe. The only thing was that it was to eggy for me. I tried it again and did it with 2 eggs instead of 4 and got much better results.

Baked Fresh Cherry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
Yummy pie, except that the almond taste was a little too much for me. I will make this again with no almond extract or just a drop.

Vinegar Cookies

This recipe makes wonderful yummy buttery cookies. I left out the walnuts since I didn't have any at home, but even without them this cookies are delish.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
I followed the instructions, but omitted the bell peppers since I did not have any. I don't know if it's because of not using the peppers, but my burgers came out too dry. Otherwise, the taste was good. Perhaps, next time I'll change it up a bit and add some moisture somehow.

Oma's Fabulous Matzo Ball Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Loved the soup and it turned out pretty good for a first time. The only thing is that I added about 2 extra eggs because I did not realize the matzo balls were supposed to sink to the bottom when dropped onto the boiling water and float up after a few minutes. I think that explanation should be added for those that have never made this. Other than this I also added onion & garlic powder to my broth and some garlic powder to the balls themselves for extra taste. It was yummy.

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
This recipe was very delicious. The only thing I changed was the amount of oil to saute the onions and garlic, and the amount of vegetable broth. I used only one tablespoon vegetable oil and then sprayed the pan with cooking spray (for less fat content). I also used a whole a 14.5 ounce can of vegetable broth because my quinoa was not softening up as it should. Other than, this was a great and tasty recipe for my dieting needs. Definitely 5 stars!

Red Lentil Curry

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
I thought this dish was going to be so good based on all the good reviews, but either I must have done something wrong or it was just plain nasty to me. The seasoning mixture was way too strong for my taste and as few mentioned, the lentils become a big mush, which doesn't even look appetizing. My kids also agreed .
