Zesty Penne, Sausage and Peppers

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
OMG....you have to try to this recipe. Sooooo simple and good! I did the recipe as stated except for the red pepper flakes. I don't like spicy anything but DH added it to his serving. We both were ooohing and aaahing over this. I don't care for fennel seed either but it definitely added a nice flavor. Will be making this one over and over. thank you for sharing.

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
If this could be 10 stars I would most certaintly rate it that high. I have made 4 loaves in the past 2 days and cannot keep a crumb of this more than a few hours. Honestly....this has got to be THEE best banana bread there ever was or will be. Everything you could want....flavor, texture, moistness, tenderness, little flavor boost with the brown sugar/cinnamon/pecan ribbon. I just can't say enough about this must try recipe. I only bake for 40 minutes and it is perfect!! Thanks for sharing an absolute wonderful recipe.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This was so easy. Used a chuck roast as that is all that I had on hand. Everything else as stated. I did add a few canned jalapenoes to DH's sandwich and used the provolone cheese. I put the cheese on each side of a sourdough hoagie bun and placed them under the broiler until the cheese melted and the bread had a little "crunch" to it. This acted like a "glue" and the sandwich did not fall apart. Will be making this one over and over. :)

Slow Cooker Sausage with Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
OMG...so easy and soooooo delicious! I ended up using Johnsville bratwurst as I could not find the italian sausages. DH was thrilled with this recipe. Thank you for sharing such a fuss free meal. Just wanted to add a little more to this review. We used the same sausages (cut up) and the sauce over spaghetti a couple of nights later and we discovered a great new dish. Sooo full of flavor. I almost never want to go back to ground beef in the spaghetti again. Thanks for a new way to make spaghetti totally delicious.

Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Very good. DH is giving it the 5 stars, I would have to go with 4. Just seemed to be missing "something"....just not quite sure what. Overall a very easy dish to make. I took in some of the leftovers to work and a coworker gave it a 5 also....hence the 5 stars after all. :()

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
This was okay. The breast meat could not have been more "moist" and tender. I was quite disappointed in the skin but then again we should be eating healthier anyway. So simply just pulled the skin off and salvaged the meat. Probably would not make again but was good for one meal. I used a chicken that was just over 4 lbs and it only took about 3.5 hours to get done. Glad I check things waaaay early on. Thanks for sharing.

Tropical Coconut Black Bean Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
DH is raving over this as I write this review. Made it for supper and he is eating it right now. Super simple and had all the ingredients on hand. I had just made some homemade pork stock from ham hocks so used that and added in a few pieces of the ham hocks for texture. Pureed half as suggested. I also only used one cup of the coconut milk. Used 1/2 tsp of each ... cumin, cayenne pepper, cajun seasoning, garlic powder and chili powder. Thanks for sharing an easy, inexpensive, delicious recipe.

DH thought this was absolutely wonderful. Packed with flavor!! I must say the sauce really overpowers any seasoning that I had put on the chicken. Next time will just use the sauce. Thank you for sharing.

Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti Squash

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Just got done having this for lunch today. DH absolutely loved it. I used a couple of tablespoons of olive oil instead of butter and used light sour cream. Added a left over boiled chicken breast and used it as our main course. Super easy and delicious. We have been trying to cut back on the pasta and this fit in very well. Thanks for sharing.
