Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
Very delicious. Had them for lunch today with baked ham. Perfect combination. DH says they tasted like "fully loaded baked potatoes".

Norwegian Pancakes - Pannekaken

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Super easy and very quick to make. Had them for breakfast yesterday. Used nutella on some and homemade marionberry jam on the others. Mmmmmm mmmmmmm Sprinkled powdered sugar on all of them. I did add a good teaspoon of cardamom to the batter but couldn't really "taste" it. Great breakfast change up from the norm. Thanks

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Excellent flavor....will bake it next time though. The garlic tends to burn when you broil it but this was still excellent.

Old-Fashioned Potato Soup

Excellent soup! Made it just as written. This would be great to add crab or lobster into it. Probably will add some bacon next time.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
This was actually excellent just as written. I only added 2-3 dashes of Worcheshire (sp?) sauce. Definitely a true "kid pleaser".

Easy Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
Excellent!! As reviews suggested I did add some basil, garlic and oregano. The canned tomatoes also had all of these in them. I had just gotten some "jarred" vodka sauce a few weeks ago and wasn't too sold on it. But this is absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing such an easy, simple but great recipe. Addendum: Made this again a couple of weeks ago for friends. My friend's husband could not stop "grunting" as he ate this delicious dish. DH and him ate almost half of the 13x9 dish that I made it in. I use grey goose vodka and this time I added a little bit of browned hamburger. Can not believe how GOOD this really is.

Chuck Roast with Homemade Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
This was absolutely wonderful. I did add a little bit of steak seasoning to the roast just before searing it. Poured in 1/4 cup red wine and 1/4 cup water, placed in oven at 325 for 2 hours, then added 4 large cut carrots and 6 medium potatoes, quartered and baked for 45 minutes longer. Mmmm mmmm mmmm Had to add a little salt at the table but it was mouthwatering and super tender. Thanks for sharing.

Pumpkin Roll Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I have made a variety of these over the years and this has to be one of the THEE best yet. I didn't use the lemon juice or walnuts (didn't have any on hand) and it still came out perfect. The texture is "right on" with the cake. Thanks for sharing. I made 4 of these the first week I came across this recipe...LOL!

Awesome! I used panko bread crumbs and frank's hot sauce. Otherwise made them exactly as written. DH raved over them. You MUST like hot, spicy food though.

Garlic Chicken

OMG....this is so flavorful and easy to make. Leftovers are great also. I used boneless/skinless thighs as that is what I had in the freezer and they were superb. Thanks for a great keeper!

Round Steak Sauerbraten

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2008
Great way to use round steak....so tender and juicy. just made this again tonight and served it with braised broccoli to make it south beach diet worthy. Totally awesome. I always put everything in the crock pot and just let it go for several hours until the round steak just falls apart.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2008
Excellent excellent excellent.....First time I have ever made my own pizza dough. Super easy, quick, and the taste is phenomenonal! Made just one pizza so a little too thick but split into 2 next time and was perfect. But if you leave it as one dough...perfect focaccia bread type dough. Made a white garlic sauce the first time and topped with clams, fried bacon, green peppers and raw tomatoes. Perfect! 2nd time made a red sauce and topped with sausage, green peppers, black olives and raw tomoatoes...perfection again! So versatile! Thank you from the bottom of our stomachs...:)

Yakisoba Chicken

Have no idea what I did wrong but I didn't not like this at all. DH ended up really liking it after I put several teaspoons of curry and a sprinkling of red pepper flakes in. Hence the 3 stars. Sorry

Made these last night and took them to work today. Everyone raved about them. Didn't change a thing and added 1 cup of chocolate chips. This will definitely be my #1 oatmeal/chocolate chip recipe from now on.

Traditional Gyro Meat

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
This was excellent! Easy to make. Didn't change a thing about the recipe. Sliced it on an angle, very thin and it looked almost like we had just cut it off the "spit". Found a good recipe for pita bread also on another site so made that to go with it. Sure beats the store bought pita bread. Also used the easy cucumber sauce from this site. All in all it was a grrrreat meal.
