Rum Sauce

Reviewed: May 17, 2013
This is good as is...but I have played with it a few times...I like to use spiced rum or amber rum and I add it with the milk..I also like to add some additional nutmeg.

Chicken Asparagus Roll-Ups

Reviewed: May 15, 2013
Followed the recipe with only one change and that was the suggestion to put the mayo recipe on the inside as well as the outside of the chicken.. I found this bland. My panko crumbs were seasoned thank god .. or I probably would have found this completely tasteless. My suggestion would be to add parmesan to the crumbs and maybe pan fry it and finish in the oven. I will try this again with my suggested changes. Btw I had the oven at 425.

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2013
I added 1/2 tsp. of cinnamon, 1/4 tsp each of nutmeg and allspice, no raisins and 1 cup of chocolate chips. Mine did not flatten and I sprayed my sheets with cooking spray , I like a flatter cookie so I pressed mine down with a fork after trying the first batch without.

Basic Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2013
I made this a second time and didn't use a water bath, big mistake, it has 2 huge cracks...definitely worth it to use the water bath...other than that I love the texture and taste.

Sunday Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
I substituted the squash with potato, it is sweet almost tastes like a mix of pulled pork and baked beans, came out more like a soup consistency. I was glad to find something to do with my leftover pork roast as I don't like it reheated. Will make this again. You should definitely have some nice crusty bread to soak up all the broth.

This is now my go to recipe for banana bread. I too add 3 bananas but follow the rest of the recipe exactly and it always turns out.

Easiest Falafel

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
I made this as i did have all ingredients on hand. I was not happy with it ,,not enough spice for me and mine fell apart. I added more breadcrumbs as I had a 19 ounce can, maybe that is what made them fall apart.

Smooth Cauliflower Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
I recently started a healthy living program and found this soup , with the low calories it is perfect for my diet. I love it! I followed the advice of others and added cayenne and used chicken broth rather than water. A definite keeper and nobody suspects it is low calorie.

Fried Chicken with Creamy Gravy

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2011
nade this with reviewers suggestions, doubling the gravy and spices I also just browned it for a few minutes a side and then baked in the oven. I added seasoned salt as well. The gravy is good and the chicken came out crispy and juicy.

Grilled Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2011
My husband absolutely loved this! I had legs with skin on and marinated for an hour. Used hot pepper flakes rather than pepper. The only problem we had was flare ups on the grill so I recommend cooking with indirect heat if using skin on chicken. I am making it again tonight but doubled the recipe as there were no leftovers the first time I made it!

Pork Chops O'Brien

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Being from Canada I don't know what O'Brien potatoes are so I just used regular cubed hash browns. I too seasoned the meat with seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder before searing in the oil. I felt the cooking time was too long for the boneless chops so I cooked the hashbrowns for 20 min. covered and then added my chops with the liquid that had formed in the dish they were resting in, covered again and finished as the recipe stated. Will make this again but will cut the cooking time for the chops to 15 mins. we like our chops medium, I think allot of people are scared to have any pink in their pork and that just doesn't hold true anymore.

Frozen Peanut Butter Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
Just loved the filling, however I found the crust too hard to cut, so I think next time I will use an oreo crust as another reviewer suggested.
