Salmon with Brown Sugar Glaze

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
I made this last night, and it was delicious! Next time I will make a double batch to coat the salmon even more. It made a nice thin crunchy little "crust" on top, but my salmon was so thick that I wished I had used more. Will definitely make this again, it was too easy!

Chocolate Cherry Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
I have made these several times and found that if you follow the ingredients exactly, and make 2 ten inch loaves as the recipe calls for, your recipe will turn out perfectly. With my oven, I need to bake them a little longer than stated in order to get them a little more crunchy. I love these! They look beautiful with the white and dark chocolate drizzled over the top and taste delicious!

Neapolitan Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I made these exactly as the recipe was written. It was easy, but I should have cut the loaf into 3rds like people have suggested, because I only got about 26 cookies, and they are rather big. I was surprised at how good they tasted! Make sure you press the layers firmly together before you chill so they don't separate while you are slicing them. I am eating them all myself.

Caramel Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
I made these last night and the previous reviewer was right-- they are very messy! Unfortunantely, I did not add the extra 1/2 cup of flour which would have helped tremendously, but they still came out OK. They flattened out in the oven, and did not look like the picture, but the caramel didnt ooze and they still tasted great. I would highly recommend letting the cookies cool for at least 20 min before you try removing them off the pan, because if they do not harden up somewhat you will end up smushing them or they will break apart.

Chocolate Walnut Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
I have never attempted candy making before, and after reading all the reviews (stir constantly, omit vanilla if using milk chocolate morsels, melt marshmallows first, then bring to a rolling boil, etc etc) the fudge turned out fine, and set quickly-- I was quite proud of myself! I used parchment paper instead of tin foil, and it came out beautifully. It tasted and looked just like just fudge, and although I am easy to please when it comes to chocolate, it seemed like it could have used some additional flavor or punch-- it was a little bland. We did enjoy it, however, and if I make this recipe again, I will use the semisweet morsels and maybe add the orange or raspberry extract as some of you suggested. I am giving this recipe 4 stars for ease and success of directions, but omitting one for taste-- hope this helps.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
EASY EASY EASY. I rolled the mixture into balls first, and refrigerated overnight in a tupperware container. The dipping was easy with toothpicks, and the pieces didnt fall off in the chocolate. I would definitely use less frosting next time, just enough to cream the cake, not the whole container. People thought they were candies, but when they bit into them, they were pleasantly surprised, and they disappeared quickly. All I had was yellow cake mix and vanilla frosting this time, but I used red food coloring on half to see how it would look and they came out perfect. I love that everyone posted pics-- it gave me lots of ideas for next time. Thanks!

Glazed Meatloaf II

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2012
I have never made meatloaf EVER! This looked delicious so I thought I would try it out. I followed the recipe as written using bread crumbs and lining the bottom of the loaf pan with bread to absorb the grease. I had to cook it almost an hour and half because it was "loose" and not formed. Eventually I took it out because it was "done" but it never formed into a loaf and it was more like sloppy joes. I am giving this recipe 4 stars because the taste was delicious, but looks count, especially for kids, and mine wouldn't eat it because it didn't "look good."

Trudy's Super Deluxe Crab Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2012
Years ago I made a crab dip with campbells tomato soup that was similar to this and although the ingredients didn't sound like they would be that good together it was always gone, never had to take any home. Has anyone tried to substitue tomato soup? Just wondering how it turned out

Cornucopia

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2012
I made 2 of these for Thanksgiving this year-- first time trying the recipe. Followed instructions exactly. The hardest part about this was making the form, and then trying to get the form out of the finished product without tearing it, especially the tip of the tail. Once it was finished, however, it looked very professional! Each one will look a little different. Very inexpensive and really doesnt take that long to make.
