I omitted the anchovies and it was good, but is it supposed to be so thick? I added some olive oil and it was still thick. But tasted goos.

Chef John's Lemon Bars

When I moistened my fingers to press the dough in the dish, the dough got too wet and it wasn't easy to prick it with a fork, it keep going closed. (I did watch the video.) It didn't get a white crust when done, it was starting to brown, so I took it out after 22 minutes. The bottom crust was crumbly when I cut it. It tasted very good, but I am taking it to a meeting and I want it to look like bought ones do. Oh well...

Blueberry Crumb Pie

Peach Bread

I used fresh peaches instead of canned and made 6 small loaves and they were delicious! I think I would cut down the cinnamon a bit because it overpowered the peach flavor.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

I did not have good luck with this recipe. I made 1 large loaf and 3 small ones. The small ones sank in the middle like a sinkhole! I think the batter was too moist and heavy for them to rise. The large one looks ok, but I haven't sliced it yet.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

This bread is delicious. I used fresh pumpkin puree that I had frozen and defrosted, so I reduced the water to 1/3 cup because fresh puree is moister than canned. The recipe (24 servings) made 3 small loaves, 6 muffins and one large loaf. Definitely a winner!

Homemade Tomato Sauce I

This is an excellent recipe. I used a tomato press which saved time. I also added more tomato paste and a can of chicken broth or beef broth, also some parmesan cheese at the end.

Bay Scallop Chowder

This is an excellent recipe. A bit rich with all that heavy cream, but delicious. Instead of bay scallops, I used sea scallop pieces which worked just as well.
