Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

This was very tasty. But I'm wondering, should the bottom crust be baked off for a few minutes first? Mine came out a little soggy.

My cake is in the oven as we speak and I'm worried. I got white cake mix instead of yellow......will report back weather or not this is a tragedy. *UPDATE* Cake came out fantastic!! Co-workers loved it. They were picking at the crumbs left on the empty plate! I keep getting comments as to when I am making it again...which will be soon!!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

So simple, so straightforward, so good. I have been trying to duplicate my grandmother's meatballs for about 15 years now. Always trying the fancy recipes using veal and pork along with the beef, never quite getting it. This is THE recipe. It is really perfect!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Made this yesterday and it was delicious. Didn't use the sugar, marinated for about four hours. Threaded some baby bella mushrooms on the skewers as well. Was yummy!

White Chocolate, Chocolate Cookies

I was in the mood for something really chocolatey so I used 60% dark chocolate chips instead of white. There was no way the wet ingredients were going to absorb the dry ingredients, so I ended up adding a little less than a cup of milk. This resulted in super soft cookies, but they tasted fantastic. The perfect chocolate fix!!

Chicken Nuggets

Muenster Chicken and Mushrooms

Made this for dinner this week and it was delish! As others, I used an egg and milk mixture, sauteed mushrooms and shallots, and used Jarlsburg cheese. Was good the next day too. I also added a little corn starch to my chicken broth before adding for a little thickness to the sauce. Will make again!

Lemon Ginger Shrimp

These were wonderful! Made recipe as is and dipped them in Tobasco chipolte sauce. That and a frozen margarita on a hot summer day......doesn't get much better than that. Can't wait to make these again!

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Made this yesterday and it was wonderful!! Marinated for about two hours. Doubled up on the cayenne and added a pinch of Italian seasoning. Yum!! Can't wait to make this again.

Mostaccioli with Spinach and Feta

This was wonderful! I didn't have fresh tomatoes so I used two cans chopped tomatoes, drained. Used a little more garlic and olive oil, and added a splash of chicken broth, and some crushed red pepper. Hubby loved it too, and claimed it a keeper!

Grecian Pork Tenderloin

Made this last night and it was terrific! It was raining (again) here in Jersey, so I browned it a little first, then baked it at 350 for 45 minutes with a little of the marinade in the pan. It was soo good! I used lemon instead of lime, but might try lime next time....when hopefully the skies will clear and I can grill it...can't wait!! Thanks Dave!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

I have made this recipe twice in the last week and my husband and I both love it! We don't have a grill yet so I broiled them for two and a half minutes per side and they came out wonderful! I can't wait to try them on the grill!

Lime Chicken and Mushroom Pasta

Usually I only try recipes that have lots of great reviews, but I decided to try this one because the ingredients sounded good. Boy am I glad I did! It's fast, easy and has a wonderful bright flavor. Husband loved it as well. My additions....one jalepeno, chopped, two garlic cloves chopped, and a little parm cheese at the end. And I also dusted the chicken with a little cayenne before cooking. Obviously we like things spicy! Try this one!!

Acapulco Chicken

Tried this recipe last night and it was wonderful. I added fresh cilantro and some chopped chipolte peppers in adobo sauce. Served it over spanish rice and topped it with some shredded cheddar as some other reviewers did. Will be making this again and again!
