Fantastic! This recipe deserves 5 stars as is, and you can make it 10 stars for your family:) I have made these both with butter flavored shortening and also with butter (1 whole stick frozen then grated into the flour mix) . Also, I tried cooking immediately versus letting the dough sit overnight. Both versions were great. The butter version was richer and fluffier so I will probably stick to that one. For a more brown top, I took another poster's advice and brushed melted butter on tops after 10 minutes. I also don't see how 1 cup of milk was too much for some people. I have always found it to be perfect. I recommend you try the recipe as written, then tweak it to fit your family's tastes. Thanks JP!!
