Wilted Spinach and Almond Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2015
I made this tonight just for myself because hubby's out of town and he's not big on hard boiled eggs. Wow I was licking the dish! The only thing I didn't have on hand was the canola oil so I used evoo. Excellent Mstrecke, thank you for a wonderful salad, if I make this for company I 'll increase the ingredients.

Mandarin Chicken Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2014
This was delicious. I cut the sugar in half and added some of the pasta water to it after I combined all the veggies. Being Italian it was very hard not to add Parmesan cheese but it didn't need it. Even my hubby loved it. Will definitely be making this a lot!

Chef John's Smothered Pork Chops

Excellent dish! I didn't change a thing because I have made several recipes from chef john and whatever he makes I love. I used boneless chops and they were so moist. My hubby ate three of them. Thank you!

Pork Chops with Bourbon Tomatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2014
These were very good pork chops! I have basically two recipes for pork chops that my husband doesn't complain that they are dry. I decided to try these on him, and he was very happy! I did not change a thing except that I didn't have grape tomatoes only Roma, so I quartered them and as they softened I flattened them. I also sprinkled pork seasoning on the chops before cooking. I think the bourbon adds a very nice flavor to them. Thanks so much for sharing Nattygirl, will definitely be making again.

Orange Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2014
I made this the other night for company and they all raved about it. I didn't have lemon extract so I used vanilla and it did not make a difference. I read one reviewers comment about using vanilla pudding if you want more of an orangy taste to the cake but my Husband likes lemon so I just went with the lemon pudding. This is definitely a keeper Thanks Angie!

Pasta Primavera with Italian Turkey Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
Very very good!!! I didn't have roma tomatoes so I used a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes, added the zucchini and mini red and yellow peppers instead of the yellow squash. I also added a couple tablespoons of heavy cream to make the sauce a little thicker. yummy!!! will definitely make this again. Thank you!

Coco's Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2013
I have been making meatloaf all different ways for many years, following my Moms recipes and my sisters. I love them all. This one my husband actually raved about!!! Although I don't use beef, I used a combination of turkey and veal. I think blending the onion pepper eggs and milk combination does something to make it the most moist meatloaf I ever tasted!!! I added fresh garlic and a teaspoon of brown sugar. Also I combined bbq sauce and ketchup and spread it over the top. Amazing!!!!! Thanks Coco and Steve for this wonderful recipe.

Turkey Pinwheel

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2013
This is a very good recipe, I've made it twice now and my hubby really likes it, the only thing I do different is use fresh baby spinach. The first time I made it I used frozen spinach but I just wasn't crazy about the taste. So the next time I used fresh and it was so much better.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
This was an excellent dish, I always read the reviews but try to keep it the way its originally written. I did take one reviewers advice and added the sauteed mushrooms and spinach simply because I had them and wanted to use them up. Will definitely be making this again.

Zucchini Provencal

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
love this recipe! I've been making a version of it for years, I usually don't add the green pepper but it gives it a nice bit of color, also I add some balsamic vinegar to the pan and I don't cook it for very long because I like the zucchini with a little crunch.

This was excellent!!! I used graham cracker crumbs instead of the flour and didn't even put the whipped topping on the top (actually forgot) and put the crushed candy than realized that I forgot the whipped topping but it didn't matter everyone loved it! thanks for a great and easy dessert.

Pasta Siciliano

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2012
I was so disappointed in this recipe after reading all the rave reviews I thought we'd love this. I love all the ingredients that were in it but it was just very very dry! I think it would be better as a cold pasta salad and maybe I will do that the next time.

Shrimp Scampi ala Norelllaura

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2012
This is an excellent scampi recipe, adding the chopped pepper and tomato gives it an extra kick, I also added a teaspoon of honey to cut back on the acid. I just sprinkled a little flour over the shrimp before cooking. I've never done this when making scampi before but it does help thicken the sauce, I served over spaghetti yummy! Thanks for a great dish.

Italian Chicken and Chickpeas

I love this recipe and so does my hubby! I use chicken thighs instead of breasts because they turn out moister and my hubby likes them better than breasts.
