Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2014
Great recipe!! Except I used 1/2 cup of parm cheese and 4 oz of cream cheese (I ran out of parm and saw that in another recipe). It was fantastic!! Also, only had dried parsley but did the trick if in a jam. Sooooo good!!

Barbecue Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2013
I give it a 4 only because I made some changes. I read some other reviews and boiled them for a half hour (unfrozen) before I marinated them. I did marinate them for an hour but next time I will try for over night. I didn't have any chili sauce so just used BBQ sauce but it still turned out fantastic. So I cut the ribs up into groups of two, put them in water at high temp and then brought them to rapid boil, once boiling, I lowered the temp to a simmer and left uncovered for a half hour. Then marinated for an hour before BBQing for a half hour, I might try just cooking for 20 min next time as well. They were so good my boyfriend said it was the best thing I have ever cooked lol and I cook a lot!!

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
I really liked this recipe, but I read over the other reviews and made a few changes and additions. I used olive oil cooking spray at the beginning to saute the onions and garlic. I also only had the bullion cubes so I just added 4 of those for the 8 cups of water to make it with chicken stock. I added about a teaspoon of Italian seasoning and a pinch of cayenne pepper. I also had leftover some leftover kidney beans so just threw them in and it was a great touch! Even my boyfriend who does not like veggie soups ate it all and more. Some hamburger would be nice in it too I think but still a great base recipe.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
This recipe is great for your basic stir fry sauce. I didn't use snow peas but instead, bean sprouts, peppers (red, yellow & green), water chestnuts, and onions. For the soy sauce mixture I didn't have rice wine so instead I used 1 tbs of rice vinegar and 1 tbs of cooking wine and it was wine. It was great!

Grandmother's Pound Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2013
I was curious if this recipe would work as I have read both good and bad, but I can tell you it definitely does! So light, fluffy, and just yummy! I made a few changes...I only had one 8 x 8 pan so I cut the recipe in half and just made one square pan, baked at same temp for same amount of time. I also added a teaspoon of Vanilla to the batter and some chopped up pineapple bits just cause I had them and it turned out amazing!! Give it a try for sure!!

Day-After-Thanksgiving Turkey Carcass Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2012
I loved this recipe. I am a first time turkey soup maker and it guided me a lot. I did make a few changes....I changed the rice for pasta and added 3 cups of extra water as I found it too salty. That may be because I don't really measure my salt when I should...but either way turned out great. I added little bit of turkey gravy I had left, like 1/4 of a cup (the easy turkey recipe off this site, also very great) but I won`t look any further for a recipe cause this one does the trick!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
These cookies were amazing! I followed the recipe exact, except I had no vanilla, so I added a bit of powdered vanilla pudding mix...also, I split the batch up three ways, 1st I did just plain coconut, second I added raisins, and the other ones I added chocolate chips. Just too see and change it up. All were great :)
