Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
Definately a good muffin recipe. The crumb topping didn't turn out as planned though, I think it needs to be roughly crumbly, not finely crumbly.

Yummy, this is restaurant quality comfort food. Our whole family loved it and so easy. Throw it all together and leave it alone.

Aloo Phujia

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This was good, I've never had it before, so didn't know much about how it was supposed to taste, but it was good. I had to add a little bit of water to the pan to keep everything from burning. It is delicious on a pita with some greens and your favorite sauce.

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
These were very good, but the sweet potato was just kind of a sided after thought, all the flavor is in the beans and it is good without the sweet potato, but interesting way to eat a sweet potato. I have tried the sweet potato mixed in as well and I like it this way better.

Brown Rice Black Bean Burrito

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
These were pretty straight forward and good, I would skip on the yogurt next time. It didn't really add anything to it.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
This is great, we omited the ham and halved the cheese and it was still a very good casserole, not too heavy.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
Yum! This soup is definitely restaurant quality. It is rich and creamy without the use of cream. This is going to be my go to recipe from now on.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
I've made chicken pot pie before and it usually takes me hours and it doesn't come out half as good as this was. This is way better than store bought, the best I've ever had, simply delicious.

Slow-Cooked Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
This was a great chili recipe, it was delicious, but a little too much beef for my tastes. I halved the beef next time.

Lori's Spicy Chipotle Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This was great, a different twist on original lasagna. I loved the spinach and zucchini. A little too spicy for us, so I just added the sauce of the chipotle peppers. Everyone liked it.

Grandma's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Very easy and good recipe. I use milk instead of half-and-half to cut the fat and use a mixer at the end to make the potatoes a little mushed in. That's just how I like it and it's great. I've also tried thickening the milk with a rue before adding to the soup and it makes it super creamy without all the fat.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
I love this french toast recipe. It is a lot less soggy than most french toasts. It reminds me of the french toast sticks I used to have as a kid. I found that when using homemade bread this recipe only makes about 5 pieces, not 12, so be sure to double it.
