Pumpkin Pie French Toast

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
Great recipe! It completely tasted like pumpkin pie. It was a great blend though. Because you could really taste the pumpkin pie flavor in the midst of the traditional french toast. I used another recipe with this called Cinnamon Syrup and the combination was fabulous! I absolutely recommend this dish!

Cinnamon Syrup

Wonderful syrup! I made this for another recipe here called Pumpkin Pie French Toast and the combo was fabulous! I didn't use white sugar because of diabetes in our house but used Stevia Cup for Cup instead. It turned out a little too sweet but still very yummy!

Boneless Buffalo Wings

These were very good. I baked them and they turned out fairly crispy but next time I'll try frying them. I baked them at 400 degrees for about 25 min!

Very delicious. Didn't have the red pepper sauce and so the sauce that I made tasted a little too tomatoie from the tomato sauce but it was still good! Will do again

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Yummy!!!! My soup came out a little runny but that was because I didn't have enough corn starch. The flavor was amazing!

Blue Cheese Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
Yum! I love it. I use turkey instead of beef. It is drier but to offset that I put a little more sauce into the meat mixture, such as Worcestershire Sauce and add a little oil to the pan. I also make up a mayo or sour cream with Chiptolte sauce to put on the bun and on the burger. Its delicious! I've already made this a couple of time and will definitely be making it again!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
This is a very yummy meal. The sauce is so good and adds so much to the chicken. The only things I do different is to pound the chicken and double the sauce.

Southwestern-Flavored Ground Beef or Turkey for Tacos & Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
This is a great recipe! I love to make it for tacos or taco salad! Just the right amount of seasonings! I don't use the tomatoes because my family is picky about that but it still turns out delicious.

The actually recipe was a little too bland for me so I had to doctor it up with more spices but it turned out great. Even the kids liked it!

Chicken Quesadillas

Wonderful recipe. I use wheat tortillas, and add some garlic powder as well. I have also used american cheese to cut down on the fat. The original recipe is great just the way it is, though. Thanks!

Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
These are wonderful. My husband is a type 2 diabetic and so I switched the flour amounts... doing 2 3/4 c of wheat flour and 1 c of white flour instead. I used Agave Nectar instead of honey as well. They turned out great! This has becoming my favorite bread recipe!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
Wow! This soup was amazing! The changes I made were to use Black Beans instead of Kidney Beans, omitted the celery, used dried minced onions, and used 4 cups of chicken broth instead of the 2 cups of water. This was fabulous. To go with it, I made an amazing recipe called Honey Wheat Sandwich Rolls (its here on the site). I will definitely make this again and again and again!

Slow Cooker Party Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
This was a great idea. I didn't put the peanuts in because I have a son who doesn't like them. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is because the mixture didn't seem to be enough to really taste it. I added 2 tbsp of Worcestershire par other reviewers which helped. I think I would add just a little more of the flavoring to add a little more kick. Overall, it is a very yummy treat and the kids love it.

Dry Buttermilk Ranch Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
I had tried a homemade ranch dressing recipe from here and wasn't too thrilled. So, when I saw this one and the reviews, I decided to give it a chance. I'm glad I did. I did what some reviews advised and made this with 1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt, 1/2 cup light sour cream, 1/3 cup fat free milk, and 4 tbsp of the mixture. For some reason it had a little bit of a sweet taste (which I don't like in ranch dressing) so I added more salt and per another reviewer, added some lemon juice to tang it up a bit. It definitely helped but I'll be researching other ways to make it more tanging. I tasted the dry mix and it seemed to taste way to peppery but when I added the dairy products it was a great blend. Overall, I really enjoy this and will do it again! Plus, even with all the dairy, no points for 2 tbsp is a Weight Watcher's friend!

Basil Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2010
I'm only giving this 4 stars because I had to make some adjustments since I didn't have some of the ingredients and so I was never able to make the exact recipe. However, I used most of the ingredients and did the directions and it was very delicious! I didn't have any nuts so I omitted the nuts. I added more parmesan cheese. I didn't have any cream so I ended up making a rue with flour and butter, heating it with a tbsp of cream cheese and added 1%milk. I also added a little cornstarch to thicken it up a little more and it turned out great! I put it over noodles and chicken. So, in the end it was the base recipe with just a few adjustments. I definitely recommend this!
