Baked Macaroni and Cheese III

Reviewed: May 26, 2002
I love this recipe. Very tasty and not alot of work! I made it for a family pot luck and I have been asked for the recipe many times, there is also a request for it at the next Baby shower coming up. I did make one change, when I double the recipe, I used 3 eggs instead of 4 and added an extra cup of milk to make it a little creamier, Where it is such a large amount I found it needed the little extra

Ultimo's No-Bake Blueberry Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
Awesome recipe, Always a huge hit Some Helpful hints.... Bake your crust for about 10 mins at 350 helps hold it together. this is not needed but does help. Freeze your squares, then take them out of the freezer about and hour before serving cut into squares when just soft enough to get a knife through. Huge help!

Atlantic Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
This is missing some very important steps to be Altantic Corn Chowder. The creamed corn is right, and Evaporated milk, just need to add more of both, everyone is different so play with it but the biggest trick is, cover the diced potatoes in just enough salted water to cover them, cook untit done. Then stir in canned milk, creamed corn. (add extra if you like the more the better!) Then in the mircowave or pot cook the onion in the butter, then stir the melted butter and onions on top. S&P to taste. Funny how just changing the way it is done makes all the difference. I sometimes add a bayleaf or other seasonings, as well as carrot, peas etc to mix it up. if you like it thick, use a rue! But it is really the can milk, creamed corn, with the melted butter and onions that makes it soooo good.

I just made this pie last night and it is wonderful. I added the diced orange, and it is a nice treat. Filling set perfectly! After this I think I will try different juices and see how they turn out, using this recipe. Hmmm Maybe Pineapple meringue pie?? Thanks for the great recipe!

I made this with my preschool class, and it turned out great all the kids are really liked it, it was very easy to make, and all the parents asked for the recipe at the end of class. I am going to try it with Chocolate sauce next and see how that works out.

Canadian Doughnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Sooo good, kids loved them! Light and fluffy, full of taste. Lemon juice adds a nice zip to them. I tested the amount on the first doughnut, remember a little goes a long way. Add a small amount until you get the amount that is right for you!

Melt in Your Mouth Marinade

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
Hoping it was like the Derby style recipe, but Hubby says not even close. That being said, it smelled and tasted great, I will have to leave the meat in longer next time to see if the tenderizes it better. I left it in for the 4 hours and all it seemed to do was add flavor.

I did not like this recipe, I even added extra Banana and I still did not like the Flavor, it was very dry. First time ever we threw out Banana bread in my house. I was so hopeful I love carrot cake and banana bread so I was sure it was going to be a winner, I was wrong!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
I have made this at least 6 times and it always turns out...NOTE if you are getting cracks you need to make sure you grease the sides of the pan so it will not stick. The only time I had a crack was when I forgot to grease the sides. Also works great as a Marble Cheesecake....take out one cup of filling and mix with 1 block of melted unsweetened chocolate. Makes for a great switch up and still turns out amazing!

Never Fail Pie Crust II

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2010
This pie crust was easy to work with and tasted good, but did not work well in my deep dish pie pan, the sides melted right to the bottom. I also had problems with it cracking and seperating while baking in a regular pie pan. I have made this twice now both rolled out and pressed in, and it was hit or miss both times. I only got one pie shell to turn out, but when it did it was good. I was really hoping this was going to be my new recipe, but not gonna happen.
