Super Sausage Gravy

Fabulous! Added 2 tsp. rubbed sage and 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper for a little kick. Also ran meat through food processor after browning to make it go farther.

Easy Oatmeal Muffins

This made good mini muffins. I substituted applesauce for half the oil, and whole wheat flour for half the flour. For the mini muffins, I baked them for about 10-12 minutes...otherwise they would burn.

Oatmeal Bread II

This bread is some of the best I've ever had! I used 1 1/4 cups skim milk in place of the water/dry milk, and just mixed the dough in my bread machine. Then I baked it in a glass loaf pan at 375 for 40 minutes. Perfect! My family devoured it!

Oatmeal and Tomato Soup

Delicious! I substitued 1% milk for the water, since my family prefers cream of tomato soup. I also added a small can of tomato sauce, basil and oregano. It's a wonderful alternative to canned tomato soup!

Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage

Quick, easy and tasty. Goes great with a roast and mashed potatoes. I used green cabbage instead of red and it was just fine.

Cooking Light magazine's Zucchini Bread

Very tasty! Great flavor, not heavy. Doesn't taste like a "light" recipe at all! Thank you for sharing this. Note: in place of egg substitute, you can use 2 large egg whites mixed with 1 Tbsp. dry milk to equal 1/4 cup of substitute. I did this since I didn't have any egg beaters on hand.

Cream of Pumpkin Soup
