Sauteed Swiss Chard with Parmesan Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2013
I made this a week ago with rainbow chard we got from a neighbor's garden. I bought some peppered bacon ends from the local meat shop. Instead of sauteing the onions in olive oil and butter I used some of the bacon drippings. I also used the lemon zest before squeezing fresh lemon into the pan. I'm getting ready to make the same thing for dinner tonight. Absolutely the best swiss chard recipe I've tried!

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
I used Cinnabon bread. I added a little extra vanilla and less cinnamon (because of the bread). I thought it turned out fabulous. My 15 month old ate three pieces!

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2012
I made a recipe and a half, but halved the sugar after reading some of the reviews that it was too sweet with full sugar. I think this mix tastes just like Trader Joe's. And since there isn't a TJ's in Colorado (yet) I'll make this again!

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
I made this recipe as it was posted. The only thing I did differently was to put it in a 9x13 baking dish since my cookie pan was otherwise occupied. I baked it for 15 min then put on my hawaiian pizza toppings and extra cheese then baked for another 15 min. My husband and I ate the whole thing for dinner. Will definitely make this again!

Super Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2011
Made this a few weeks ago. I ended up using a box of conrbread stuffing mix that was in the pantry. Not my favorite flavor to mix in. However, the dish was dee-lish. My husband ate most of it in two days. Since I over planted the squash this summer, we will definitely make this one again.

Potato Chip Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2011
Dee-lish. I used fried turkey since we had some frozen from turkey day. And I put in more than the called for amts of rice, celery and onion (mostly because I don't measure) The whole family loved it. It was also great as leftovers for the next days lunch.

Hoppin' John

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
First of all...I don't understand why people would rate/review a recipe they've not tried. We just finished this for our New Years dinner and thought it pretty good. Good enough to make again. I just salt and peppered, but the family used hot sauce. If I would have had some celery I would have put that in for a bit of crunch at the end of cooking. We also only had extra sharp cheddar on hand so used that. I didn't put rice in it, but instead made corn muffins.

Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2010
I was a little hesitant about the Mtn. Dew, but these were absolutely delicious. I halved the butter and sugar based on other reviews and used the apples from my neighbors tree, which are not Granny Smith. I will definitely make these again. I have shared the recipe with several people already.

I put in 2 C of shredded zuchinni along with about 3 cups of chopped apples. Dee-lish.
