Monterey Spaghetti

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2010
I tried this yesterday, and followed the advice of other reviewers. I used 4 cloves of garlic, reduced the cheese just a bit, and added a can of diced tomatoes. My family LOVED this! No leftovers!! I will be making this again and again. Thanks for the recipe!

Good-Morning Banana Nut Cereal

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
This was a perfect breakfast! I used homemade almond milk instead of skim milk to make it dairy free. I didn't have any oat bran, so I just replaced that with extra oatmeal. I used quick oats, because that's what I had, but I will make sure to pick up some old-fashioned oats during my next shopping trip. I didn't have any walnuts, either, but I wish I would have, as I can tell it would help offset the crunchiness of the quinoa. I can't wait to try this again!! YUMMY!!

Fruity Curry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2011
WOW!! This was beyond delicious! And we didn't even let it sit in the refrigerator. We have put the rest in there and can't wait to try it again tomorrow after the flavors have had a chance to meld. Wish I could give it more stars!

Potato Latkes I

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2012
I made these exactly as stated in the recipe. Next time I'll use less eggs and maybe half of the salt. Otherwise, PERFECT!

Prairie Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
My husband wants me to ONLY use this recipe for any meatloaf I use in the future. I halved this recipe and didn't put the cheese on top, but used all of the cheese inside. I used 1 lb. lean ground beef (must use lean, or it'll fall apart!), and 1 lb. ground turkey breast. I also topped it with some bottled BBQ sauce.

This one is a keeper. I drained and rinsed the beans, and it came out perfect!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2011
Wow!! This was SOOO good!! I took the advice of others and sauteed the mushrooms a bit with some garlic and parsley. I also added some chopped avacado to the garnish. This dish was amazing!! My husband couldn't say enough about it after dinner. This will be the dish I serve at the next dinner party.

Wonderful Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2013
This recipe is my new go-to recipe for meatloaf. We recently found out that my son has a wheat allergy. I've tried different alternatives to the traditional meatloaf with bread crumbs or crackers. But this one is absolutely amazing! Next time I'll try adding some BBQ sauce for a little zing. I did add an egg to keep it from falling apart, and that seemed to do the trick. Awesome!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
I wish I could give this recipe more than 5 starts. Delicious! My husband doesn't really like cakes, but he absolutely devoured this one! The only change I made was put in half of the oil, and then added some vinegar to milk, turning it into "buttermilk" for about 5 minutes before adding it to the batter. This cake was so moist and so flavorful. I can't say enough about it!!

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
This soup was a huge hit!! It made a lot, so I put half in the freezer, thinking it would go bad in the fridge. But by the 2nd day, we were defrosting the frozen ones!! I didn't have enough half-and-half, so I replace the rest with just milk. I also added 3 cloves of garlic, pressed. I'm not sure how much of a difference that made, but OH MY GOSH!! This soup was to DIE FOR!!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
I wish I could give this dish more stars! The first time I made it, I put in half of the amount of cayenne pepper. I am terminally "Caucasian" and I was afraid it would be too spicy. It was delicious, but could use a little more spice. So, the 2nd time I made it, I made it exactly as written and ohmygoodness!! It's my favorite thing to eat!
