Rhubarb Berry Jam

I made several substitutions to suit what I had on hand but the basic idea and flavors were still there. Instead of pie filling I used frozen blueberries. I had a handful (or two) of frozen raspberries and threw those in also. Cut the sugar almost by half because I love the rhubarb tartness. As for Jello, I had a box each of raspberry and black cherry. The color of the jam is just beautiful!! I water bath canned half pint jars for 10min. The jam is just SO delicious I'm glad it's still rhubarb season!!

Mom's Shrimp Macaroni Salad

I decreased the horseradish by half and used homemade sweet zucchini relish otherwise followed the recipe as written. Will definitely be making this again!! Full of flavor and texture!!

Creamy Pear Pie

Simply delicious! After reading the reviews, I took the advice of several and added a pinch of cinnamon to the creamy mixture. I substituted Greek yogurt for the sour cream and doubled the topping. I will try substituting tapioca for the flour next time. (In my opinion the flour gave the filling a glue-ish texture/flavor.) I also used the "Basic Flaky Pie Crust" recipe from this site with the addition of 2 Tblsp sugar. Overall a creamy delicate flavored pie!!!!

Aunt Edith's Baked Pancake

"German pancake" as it was called in my family... though the measurements are a bit different, the basic recipe is the same... I usually add a bit of fresh lemon zest and a little nutmeg to the batter. Gramma would melt the butter in a pie plate in the oven then pour in the batter. Bake till it was puffy and golden. Dust with powdered sugar and squeeze on the fresh lemon juice!!!
