Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
A family favorite at every holiday, these do not last long at our house. I just use a package of graham crackers and crush them, which gives us good coverage for the crust. We experiment with different combinations of semisweet, dark and milk chocolate chips, but always keep the butterscotch base. Fantastic!

Cashew Chicken II

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
Less oil, more soy sauce, more water chestnuts, more pepper, added garlic. Served with white rice, this made about 8 servings and was pretty tasty and well-received at our house. One word of caution: when refrigerated and then reheated, the cornstarch sauce tends to get a bit thick and gloppy (as cornstarch does). Although this doesn't really affect the taste greatly, the visual effect can be less than pleasing.

Egg and Hash Brown Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2004
We used vidalia onions instead of the green onions and made a few other minor tweaks. This one turned out great, and will become a staple for holiday cooking. We also assembled it the night before and refrigerated overnight, which made it so easy in the morning!

Fantastic. I have made this over and over again, and I'm sure it's going to become a family tradition.

Better Slow Cooker Robust Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2002
I didn't cut the chicken into strips, but rather chunks and they were very tender and juicy. I omitted the olives and bacon bits, and the juice was fine without them. This is a pretty good recipe, but I would recommend tailoring it to your personal tastes for best results.
