I am a mother of a wonderful boy named David, and I have taught a high school foods class for the last 7 years.
I learned to cook from my mother during the winter and then while she helped my father in the field I cooked during planting and harvest. Then I took the time to teach myself the art of pies, cakes and decorating.
My favorite things to cook
Indian cuisine is my favorite to cook when I entertain my friends, probably because we don't have a restraunt available in rural Alberta.

Making the perogies and cabbage rolls with my parents. Teaching the same tradition to my son.
My cooking triumphs
Teaching myself to make Cream brulee and Creme Carmel when I first started teaching foods classes. Also learning to make cream puffs!
My cooking tragedies
Putting Salt instead of sugar in my apple pie one Thanksgiving.
