Cranberry Almond Biscotti

I just want to say that the two logs you create are only about 3 inches wide but they spread considerably during baking, creating the classic biscottic shapes. I also substituted a little coconut flavor for the vanilla and used white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts. They were VERY tasty.

Chocolate Cut Out Cookies

I used carob instead of cocoa because I think it makes them "darker." I mixed in all 3 eggs but was generous with the flour and the carob/sugar mixture I used to roll them out on parchment paper. I also iced them with mint icing! Very easy, very tatsty, look great, taste great!

Pecan Sticky Buns

The dough is very soft and beautiful to which I added cinnamon. The topping was severly lacking in "sticky-ness." I'm not sure how it's ended up sticky enough for others? I'll use a topping that uses honey next time. I also used a combo of walnuts and pecans, more like 1 1/2 C, which I toasted beforehand. I use dental floss to "cut" the buns and I use a muffin tin to place the nut mixture in with the bun on top, therefore I decrease the cooking time a little too.

Sugar N Spice Popcorn

Spicy Bok Choy Slaw

I really liked this recipe. However, I used twice as much bok choy and none of the cherry peppers or cucumbers. It may be a little too tangy for my taste, but a great dressing, none-the-less.

Coconut Ice Cream

This ice cream is Awesome! I've never had homemade ice cream turn out so smooth and creamy. As one reviewer did, I blended the sweetened flaked coconut in the blender. Next time I may add a little vanilla, just for added richness! But it's perfect!

Pumpkin Roll-Out Cookies

I thought they were a decent roll-out cookie. They're a little on the chewy side, and they rise A LOT in the oven so be sure to roll them out to no more than 1/8 inch. I did double the spice and as with my sugar cookies, I rolled them out in powdered sugar. I did not have any oranges so I substituted some orange essence for the vanilla.

Irene's Barbeque Sauce

Absolutely awesome! The only changes I made: I used 1 T of brown sugar instead of 2, no cayenne (for the kids), a little less oil (less fat), and I used smoked salt instead of liquid flavor (I didn't have any). This is the only BBQ sauce I'll be using for a while!

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Excellent texture and flavor! Rinsing the potatoes is key, and I didn't add any other spices, except a little leftover bell pepper. Hot sauce is a great condiment!
