Pork Marsala

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2010
This dish was incredible. Very easy, smash hit. I made it with mashed potatoes that tasted great with the pan sauce.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
Tasted great and looked beautiful. I added 5 tbsp cornstarch, 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tsp lemon zest since I love the lemon/blueberry combination. I made a lattice crust that looked really nice on top.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
Soooooooo good. This tasted amazing. I left the green peppers in for the whole time, but I like the peppers less crisp for this kind of thing. We served it on rice and it was delicious. I will be making this for many, many years to come.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
Fantastic! I followed the advice to cover for 30 min with foil and then bake another 40 min basting every 10 or so and they turned out perfectly cooked and nice and brown on the outside.

Spicy Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
Yum, these are delish! I did about 1/4 c butter and 1/4 c olive oil -- I find the olive oil helps keep everything from burning when it's in there for so long!

Mustard Pomegranate Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
This turned out pretty well, but I think it would have been even better if I had marinated it for the full amount of time (my fault). Also, it took an extra 10 minutes or so to fully cook on the inside. The sauce had a really nice sweet/spicy flavor that was a great complement to the pork.

Red Pepper-Salmon Pasta

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
This is one of my husband and my favorite recipes. It takes a while if you roast the red peppers from scratch, but it is so tasty and looks and tastes really fancy.

Crispy Gingersnaps

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
Easy and tasty! These may be the fastest cookies I have ever made and they turned out great. If you like them "snappy" make them a day ahead. I enjoyed them warm and soft but the next day they were much more along the lines of a traditional gingersnap.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2010
These were delicious and really straightforward. My husband doesn't even like meatloaf and he really enjoyed this. I toned down the cheese since he is lactose-intolerant, and I also added an onion, some worcestershire, and garlic powder. Yum!
