About this Cook
Learned to cook a long time ago.
My favorite things to cook
Soups, stews. Currently experimenting with Vegetarian dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Waste not, want not.
My cooking triumphs
Awarded first place in chili cook-off in Indianapolis, IN out of approx. 45 entrants.
My cooking tragedies
Fried potatoes - just cannot make them like Mama did. Deviled Eggs - one of my favorites to eat but my least favorite to make. Always end up with way more filling then available egg halves.

Gazpacho
Disappointing. Followed recipe but used V8 juice and added one Serrano pepper. Bland and unappealing. It may be I just don't enjoy cold soup.

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World
Made this yesterday and found it to be very tasty and filling. Not as hot as some reviewers have mentioned but it is spicy, which I like. Added some hot sauce to the two bowls I ate last night. Just reheated and ate two more bowls for lunch. Even better the next day! Looking forward to making it again. My hat is off to the creator of this recipe.
