Cheese Crispies

Reviewed: May 25, 2011
I cut this recipe in half to test them out and we loved them. Although i used shredded Mexican style cheese(cheddar and pepper jack mixture) and i added a bit more butter because mine seemed a bit dry. Mine did not turn out greasy at all. I made mine very thin and they tasted just like cheese nips.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

This was absolutely amazing. I added 3 cloves of garlic and some pepper. I also added provolone cheese. It came out so tender its not even funny. I used a chuck roast.

Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
This was ok for us. I think i left it in the oven too long. Since we don't own a grill we could not grill it. I am sure if i had not overcooked it that it would have been much better. The overall flavor was good, Someone suggested using a crock pot. I might do that next time.

Broccoli and Tomato Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
We did not like this recipe at all. It lacked flavor and the goat cheese and Parmesan just did not accentuate it. It was like someone messed up their dish so they threw cheese on top to fix it. Just our thoughts.

Japanese Okonomiyaki

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2012
My husband would have adored this recipe except for the dashi made it way too salty for him. I will use water next time. But instead of bacon i used Eel and put Japanese mayo, okonomiyaki sauce and Japanese rice topping(salmon flavor) on it. He loved it all except for the actual pancake since it was too salty. I know know if it was the dashi i used or what.

Burgundy Lamb Shanks

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2012
These did taste like lamb but other than that not really much flavor which is odd. The meat was very tender though and my husband liked it but said he would have added more spices like cumin, bay leaves, thyme ect. I would then have finished it off in the oven and added a bit more of a punch to the sauce by adding balsamic vinegar and more beef bouillon.

Asparagus Cashew Rice Pilaf

Was not my favorite and you have to be really careful when cooking the spagetti and onions. I burnt them. I am sure if i had not burned them it would have been better but overall not a favorite.
