I love to cook and bake, it is how I show my love. I am a house wife and have been married for 10 years. we have 2 cats and a chocolate lab named Cali.We live on Cape Cod,MA and love to take walks and enjoy the area we live immensely.
My favorite things to cook
I am an avid baker, I really love to make homemade breads, and Pizzas. The deserts are really my favorite thing to make.Cakes are my specialty. I love to decorate them and come up with new cake combination's all the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Since I have been married I have become the family hostess and we have BBQ's and Parties all the time, But I think my favorite is Thanksgiving, when all the family helps out and we do it together.
My cooking triumphs
I recently have taught my self to make my favorite Chinese dish. Pancit Bihon or Rice Noodles with shrimp.it was a triumph because I am happy not to have to pay for them @ $9.00 a pop anymore.Yay!!
My cooking tragedies
Our Thanksgiving Turkey one year wasn't quite thawed out all the way and it went way over the cooking time, we were so happy when it was finally done but I was not too happy about it taking so long.....lol

Cabbage Rolls II
It was a good recipe to start with as a base, But I always tweak to my families tastes. I added a little more brown sugar to the sauce to cut the acidity and make it sweeter it because that is how I have always had it.I used brown rice and ground turkey and I also added a little extra tomato sauce to cover multiple dishes and I froze a couple of pans for later. They turned out really well.
