Vodka Sauce

We love spicy food but she wasn't kidding when she said this was spicy!!! Next time I will cut back on the red pepper flakes, other than that it was delish!

Jim's Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
This was a big hit at our Memorial Day party!!! I followed the recipe exactly. The only thing I did different was add extra mayonnaise and a half a red bell pepper. This was by far the best macaroni salad I've ever made!

Campbell's Kitchen Chicken with Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Reviewed: May 22, 2011
This was very tasty! I made the sauce on the stove top and then baked it with my chicken in the oven with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and thyme. The only thing I will do different next time is add more sundried tomatoes and an extra can of cream of mushroom soup and cook the whole bag of egg noodles.

Cheesy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
This was really good! It has lots of possibilities...next time I will try a different stuffing to switch it up, I think brocolli Rabe with black olives and sausage would be delish or sundried tomatoes with spinach and pepperoni. Thanks for a great recipe!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2011
Excellent! The only thing I did different was let the mixture sit in the fridge for a few hours beforehand (except the fresh basil leaves) I didn't want them soggy so I added 10 minutes before broiling. There is enough mixture for 2 baguettes! Enjoy!!!

Slow Cooker Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2011
The sauce for this recipe was really yummy! I don't know what went wrong with my ribs though, they tasted like sawdust! Really dried out. I had them in the slow cooker for about 9 hours, I don't know if the heat was too high. Next time I may try bone-in ribs and put my cooker on auto-shift to see if that helps. Loved the sauce, I put it over white rice!

Spicy Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
This was a nice spin on brussel sprouts, I used a New York Style mustard because I didn't have Dijon mustard, the flavor was kind of strong but in a good way...yummy! I also steamed for about 15-20 minutes instead of 30 minutes. I will definately make this again!

Meatball Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
I thought this was a good base to get started with. I found the broth to be bland so next time I will add an extra beef boullion cube or 2 and some tomato paste to thicken it up as suggested by another review. It also needs salt and pepper. I added some fresh spinach leaves towards the end of cooking time for added flavor and color.

Turkey, Ricotta and Whole Wheat Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
This was pretty good for a quickie dish. I cooked the ground turkey with fresh garlic, a half a large onion, 1 red pepper and 1 green pepper in olive oil for extra flavor. I also prepared it ahead of time and baked it for 45 minutes instead of 30 since it was coming from the fridge. My company said it tasted like lasagna :)

Company Cauliflower

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
We really liked this! I didn't have 2 heads of cauliflower on hand so instead I mixed a head of broccoli with a head of cauliflower. It was delicious! I also recommend adding salt and pepper to taste. Next time I'll try adding red pepper flakes to zing it up a bit. This a keeper!!!

Parmesan Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2011
This was a nice twist on pork, we really enjoyed it! The only change I would make is to cut the bread crumb, parmesan and sage ingredients in half....there ere alot left over. *** Went well with a nice glass of Cab! Enjoy! :)

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
This recipe was great! I followed many of the other review tips. I used 2 tortilla's per layer, spread the refried beans on the tortilla's as opposed to adding it to the meat mixture and cooked the meat sauce with a package of taco seasoning for about 30 minues. The last five minutes of baking I broiled on high and voila! Perfect! This would be a great dish to bring to a party!!!
