These cookies are SO EASY to make. I found them to be a lot sweeter than the traditional Italian sesame cookie. Next time I will cut the sugar in half. Also, the cookies are much better the next day so if you're making them to bring somewhere keep that in mind. Also, I used vanilla instead of anise and the flavor was fantastic. Hint: don't over pay for sesame seeds at the grocery store when you can get them for 1/4 the price at Penzeys spices.
