Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

This is the first time that I made pumpkin pie totally from scratch! I used real pumpkin and it was delicious!! I even made my own crust (I used the Chrisco recipe on the box). All in all a wonderful pir recipe and so easy to make!! I would never buy canned pumpkin again!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Great salad! This is my first time making coleslaw and it was a hit! I decreased the amount of sugar (I added a few Tbsp). There was a little left over and someone wanted to take it home!! I served this with slow cooker pulled pork.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

This is a tasty cookie! I made them for Halloween and sprinkled orange sugar on them. This is definitely not a recipe for rolling out and using cookie cutters (too moist), so I just made round cookies.

Cocktail Meatballs

I made these for New Years and they turned out really good! I used a thai chili sauce to give it an extra kick. I made fresh meatballs as I don't like frozen. I cooked these in the slow cooker and they were a bit hit!

Amish Macaroni Salad

I made this for a party (doubled the recipe) and it was completely gone by the end of the night! I added very little sugar (about 1/4 cup) based on other reviews and it turned out wonderfully!

Pumpkin Bread VI

This was very simple to make and turned out ok considering that it is a 'healthier' bread than some of the other recipes that call for cups and cups of sugar. It's a bit dry (I think I might have overbaked it a bit), but all in all it makes for a nice snack with tea. Instead of the spices listed, I used pumpkin pie spice, but I wish I added a bit more than 1/2 tsp as I would have liked it spicier.

Hash Brown Casserole II

This was such a hit! I forgot to add the cornflake topping and it was delicious without it! People were asking to take the little bit of leftover I had. Great recipe that is easy to make.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

What a fun recipe to make! My daughter and I had so much fun making these. I read some reviews about saltiness, so I used unsalted butter and used only 1/2 tsp of salt. My daughter did not like them (they are probably not sweet enough for most kids) but I loved them. They are amazing with a cup of tea. I even used green food dye for some of the batter and they turned out great. Next time I would add the dye to the whole batter.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

My roast came out dry and it was not very tasty. I only marinated it for 3 hours so maybe that is why. I won't be making this again.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

These came out really good! There is a fine balance between crispy brown on the outside and still raw on the inside. I baked them for at least 15 minutes.

Unbelievable Chicken

This is the Best chicken I ever had!!! It tasted like I was eating a chicken dish from a restaurant. Highly recommend it!! I was a bit skeptical as the vinegar smelled so acidic...but it turned out great! I marinated it for about 7 hours.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

A great recipe for making use of cookie cutters! They are quite tasty too. Be sure to use flour when rolling the dough. It's really important to refrigerate the dough prior to rolling as well. The first batch I burnt (I used the dark nonstick pan) but the other batches I used the shiny cookie sheet and they did not burn. Keep an eye out as they bake quickly!
