Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
These were a huge hit at my work party last halloween! I arranged them on a plate with "regular" cookies and everyone loved the effect. They were a little time consuming, but worth it.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
This is the first pie I've ever baked, and it was delicious! I used fresh blackberries from my yard, instead of blueberries. And I upped the cornstarch to 4tbsp after reading the other reviews. It turned out perfect!

Holiday Guacamole

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
Love this recipe! Very different, and very delicious! I was nervous at first about adding the fruit, but it turned out great! My family is super picky and they loved it. I only used 2 chile peppers, and that was plenty. And I've made it a few times now, with and without the grapes, I prefer it without. But it's good either way.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
Brought this salad to a family picnic last weekend and it was a huge hit! I used spinach for the greens, omitted the avocado (because I was traveling for about an hour to get to the party and I didn't want it to brown) and I waited until right before serving to add the dressing. Everyone raved about it and I had multiple recipe requests. Make this salad, you won't regret it!

Pecan Pie V

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2011
I'm fairly new to baking and this pie was VERY easy to make, and it turned out super yummy! Presentation-wise I'd add some whole pecans to the top next time, just so it looks nicer. But it tasted perfect, and my husband couldn't keep his hands off it! I will definitely be using this recipe again. Very soon!

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
I served this sangria at my wedding last month and it was a HUGE hit! Everyone loved it. I omitted the sugar and cherries, and used ginger ale instead of club soda. We made it the night before and let it sit overnight (a full 24 hours) before adding the ginger ale, it was absolutely perfect! We made 15 batches of both this red and another white sangria, and this one was gone before the end of the night! I will definitely be making it again.
