Strawberries and Cream Cake

Reviewed: May 28, 2003
The filling & frosting were delicious, but the cake was too dense & tough. I put the dry jello into the cake mix. Should I have made the jello for it to be better?

This was great, except that I had to cook it longer than 10 minutes. Thanks for this recipe! SDamare, Slidell, LA

Way too runny!! I changed the recipe to 3/4 cups of milk for next time.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2002
This was really good. The only changes I made were: 2cans of chicken broth, instead of the bouillon cubes, therefore only 7 cups of water. I also added 1/2 lb or cubed ham and used Cajun sausage to add flavor. SDamare, Slidell,LA

Bean and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2002
It was Great. I only made the following changes: the bean pkge I purchased was 1#; had no white wine at home (so left out) and used only 1# of cajun seasoned sausage, since that is all I had. SDamare (Slidell, LA)

Slow Cooker Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2002
This chowder was really good on a winter day, but did need all day to soften the potatoes. I only made a few alterations; 2(11oz)cans of corn; l can of chicken broth(instead of bouillon) & of course Cajun seasoning (instead of salt & pepper), since I'm from LA. SDamare(Slidell,LA)
