Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
I had never made candy before & was very nervous. This was the first candy recipe I tried & now the only Trufffle recipe I use. The cream cheese is so much easier for me to work with than heavy cream. Each time I make it, I get a little more bold & use the suggestions in the Footnotes. I've even dipped them in candy coatings and melted chocolate. I ADORE this recipe! It's perfect for beginners & those of us who are not confident in the kitchen. Now every holiday, my family asks if I am making these truffles.

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
My hubby is so tired of pork chops & not happy I was making them for dinner. BUT he tasted these & he loved them! He even told me to make sure I write the recipe down in my Keepsake Recipe Book!! (big compliment) I followed the recipe exactly. Here's a BIG PLUS: my hubby works nights and this recipe reheats perfectly in the microwave. The pork does NOT dry out nor does it get tough in the reheating process. And our 5 year old picky eater cleaned his plate! I served it with green beans the Alfredo Sauce (over Penne) by B. Mason I got from here. Very rarely are all 3 of us very happy with the same dinner!

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: May 29, 2011
I've seen Alton Brown make cinnamon Rolls & it seemed so complicated & time consuming that I never even tried. Found this recipe....UNCOMPLICATED, FAST & AWESOME!!!

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
Followed the recipe exactly. Granted, since I forgot what a soft pretzel shape looked like, they looked funny but they tasted GREAT! They were so easy to make & I can't wait to experiment with garlic & cheese & cinnamon & sugar!

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
I first made this at Thanksgiving....everyone ranted and raved how delicious it was. I followed others suggestions AND I was using freshly grated nutmeg (stronger than pre-ground). I used less than the recipe calls for. It is so EASY! And since I use smaller knife cuts on my sweet potatoes, I can get it cooked in 20 minutes. It is now a weeknight side dish & I make it everytime sweet potatoes are on sale!!!!!!!

Easy Pilaf

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
The first few times I made this, I followed the recipe exactly........perfection !!!! So easy and I love that it is cooked off in the oven. The great thing about this recipe is you can take it so many places....adding herbs & spices or garlic to accompany the rest of your meal which is what I do now. I love it & so does my family. So say good-bye to all Rice-A-Roni flavors FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Classic Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
I followed the recipe exactly (except omitted the saffron) and had no problems whatsoever. No more Rice-A-Roni for us! I am eager to experiment with other flavor profiles. I find it very annoying that the review tagged as the "Most Helpful Critical Review" didn't even bother to make the recipe as written. But used the stove-top method. I for one, welcome a good rice recipe that will free up stove space. It widens my options for dinner. Thank you Chef John!
