Mulligatawny Soup I

Great curry flavour! I froze this before my 1st baby was due and it reheated wonderfully... I loved it again, even if he didn't seem to. ;)

What a great recipe! I cut both sugars to a 1/2 cup each, substituted 3/4 cup apple sauce + 1/4 cup oil for the 1 cup oil recommended. They aren't oily at all this way! I have doubled and quadrupled the recipe so I could put a couple dozen muffins in the freezer before and since my son was born. They freeze great! The muffins I've kept out have been moist and delicious. Everyone asks for this recipe. Enjoy!

Rhubarb Stir Cake

I've made this recipe several times and always go looking for it when those big green leaves appear! I like this more as a snackin' cake than a true dessert, but I also cut back on the sugar both in the cake and on the topping. An excellent coffee treat!

Chicken Tortilla Soup V

A great, fresh tasting soup. I made this with some leftover corn-on-the cob last summer and still can't stop thinking about it 8 months later. I'm looking forward to corn season again, just to make this soup!

Butternut Squash Soup

At long last! I've been looking for a great squash soup recipe and this is what I've been searching for. As others have mentioned, definately cut back on the cream cheese. I used a single block and still found this to be a VERY thick soup. I will start with a half block next time and add more, as desired, while blending. Great flavours!

Curried Beef a la Tim

White Wine Broccoli Casserole

A really good recipe. I added about 3/4 cup of dried onions to the white wine sauce for extra favour. I served this with dinner rolls and white wine and it went over very well. Plenty of flavour and very filling.

Pork Roast with Thyme

Delicious recipe! I cooked this in my crockpot and used the same basic ingredients. I substituted tarragon vinegar for apple cider and added 1-2 sliced apples to the crock for the last hour or so. I served the apples over the pork. A new favourite!

Rhubarb Cheesecake

What a great change from the everyday cheesecake. The rhubarb gave this cake a great, unique, tangy flavour. The crust was wonderfully different... like shortbread. I'll definately make this again.

Potato Salad I

A very good salad. Many people were coming back for seconds. My changes... more sauce, dill rather than sweet pickles, and I added dill pickle juice to the sauce. Thanks for giving me a place to start!

Tzatziki I

A really tasty recipe. It took a while to get the yogurt & cucumber thoroughly drained, but the result was well worth it. The garlic made it really zippy. I thought less might be better, but I was told that it was great just as it is.

Greek Lemon Cake

A lemony delight! I served this topped with some whipped cream and berries and got rave reviews. It is similar to a pound cake in texture, but lighter. I'll keep this recipe handy.

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Terrific recipe! It was hard to keep it intact until our dinner guests arrived. Everyone enjoyed it! I mixed the filling in my food processor with great success. It was really quick & easy to put this delicious treat together.

Apple Cranberry Pie

Yum... this filling was terrific! I've served it at 2 family occasions and it was a huge hit both times. Tasty and not TOO sweet. I changed the cooking directions so that I cooked the pie at 450F for 10 minutes and then turned it down to 360F for another 50 minutes. Perfect!
