About this Cook
Im a 36 year old mother of 3-ages 18mos.,14years,&16years. Im happily married and love to camp and BBQ with family&friends, but I mostly love to cook with my family!!
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking mostly the good ole downhome classics, but also I love to bake and experiment with various ethnic foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always make my brother in laws handed down recipe for Chicken Parmasean for small, family only celebrations, like a promotion,or an "A" paper!
My cooking triumphs
2 things:when my oh so talented 16 yr old daughter was 10 we watched a movie in which they made Caramel Eclairs that looked divine! So divine, actually, that we searched cookbooks and found recipes for puff pastry, caramel sauce, and vanilla pudding(no recipe found for actual eclairs),and we made in 1st shot the BEST eclairs we had ever tasted!! And the other:just recently created,by myself, the AWESOMEST Chicken Eggrolls!!!
My cooking tragedies
The time in high school when I couldnt get the dough for these Orange Dream cookies to tighten up and my foster mom suggested I add a little flour at a time til they baked up correctly. So,i added flour, didnt work,so proceeded to add "flour"a few more times...only it wasnt flour! Someone had accidentally switched the lids for flour and powdered sugar!!! Ive never tried making those cookies again lol

Angel Whispers
I have made these ALOT and always get rave reviews!! I use a bit of lemon yogurt in mine,to help moisten them a bit,and intensify that lemon flavor even more:)Im making them this weekend for my hubby to take to work for him and his coworkers, I try to do something new each for them; in fact, he in known as the "treat guy" and is hounded if he comes in empty handed, lol!! Great with hot mint tea:)
