My Special Shrimp Scampi Florentine

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
I made this dish on valentines day. I added white wine, little parsley and cut few red bell peppers heart shaped. Served over angel hair pasta. It was very good. I would make it again. My husband cleaned his plate and had seconds.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
So because of prior reviews of too salty, I used 1/2 of onion soup mix, low sodium soy sauce, chicken stock instead of water. I used merlot for wine ...that's what I had. I added rosemary and thyme. Cooked 3.5 hours on low. It was good but not the best pork tenderloin I have had. I think the wine used is very important keeping in mind that it is a white meat. I also thought it needed to be flipped half way through cooking. The broth was good to use to make a gravy. I would not repeat the recipe but will try agin in a even more modified version. Overall it was good not great

Garlic Broccoli

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
My husband nor I could even eat this....I followed recipe exactly. Too much vinegar. I used fresh grated parmesan cheese and a good red wine vinegar. Very disappointed wasted good broccoli. Unlike the other reviews too much salt and or garlic was not the problem but nevertheless no a keeper for me

Beef Stroganoff II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I used a little beef broth to thin the sauce out a little and real sour cream. I also used some fresh mushrooms that I sauted with the onion. It turned out delicious

Elegant Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I took the advice of others and added a little cayenne pepper. Also, I did not want to microwave my potatoes so as other reviews mentioned, I followed the recipe except, I placed the potatoes raw in pan and cooked for one hour. It turned out great. It was not too soupy as others had reported.

Spicy Honey Mustard Pork Roast

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
I took the advice of others and added some water to the bottom of the pan other than that I followed the recipe it turned out good. It was flavorful, tender and juicy. I like pepper, so not too peppery for me but I can see how it would be for others.

Cajun Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
I followed the suggestions of prior reviews using celery, andouille and smoked sausage. I did not need the butter and oil due to fat from meat. I also added about a TPS of tony's cajun seasoning. It turned out wonderful. My fiance loved it. We like spice and the type of sausage you use will make the difference in what you are looking for in the soup.
