Ethiopian Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
This is really yummy. I doubled the spices like everyone else. I agree with prior reviewer I think the potatoes should be added first. I reserved some cabbage to add at the end and I think that reall helped. I will make this again, everyone but my 2 year old loves it.

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
I love this recipe. As a prior reviewer said, it's very forgiving. You can add as much butter or olive oil as you want, it's good with amount recipe calls for and I think it's good with less too. I always add red bell pepper b/c I like things to be pretty. I use red onion too. Make sure you pull the spinach up into the egg mixture a bit. This is also good w/out crust. Yum!

Penne Pasta with Veggies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
Pretty Solid recipe. If baking in the oven it feels like it needs more cheese. A little oily, was unclear if I was supposed to drain the sun-dried tomatoes. I'll make a few changes next time, but will still use it.

Cheese's Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
I wanted to make this with the kielbasa, but a day before I was going to make it my 2 year old said she didn't like hotdogs mixed into her mac n cheese so I made it sans kielbasa. It was super yummy! All my family raved about it. I did make some alterations, I was going to double the recipe but forgot to double the cheese sauce and was running out of time so I just added about 2 cups plain shredded cheese, which definitely made it greasy but it was still good. Next time I will make it with more cheese sauce if I double. My 9 year old thought it was really good before I added the extra shredded cheese before baking when she tasted it. I thought the onion gave it a nice almost smokey flavor. I skipped the bread crumbs b/c my 2 year old is a mac n cheese purist. Very solid recipe.

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2012
Soooo easy. And super yummy. I was worried after whisking it that it was going to look grainy or bumpy when I poured it on, but after I let it "set" in the fridge it became smooth and just right for pouring on my Shadow Cake (choc cake with fluffy white icing and chocolate ganache poured over it). I will definitely make this again!

Chicken Paprikash

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
This was very yummy! I did add extra butter and followed other reviewer's advice and used chix broth instead of water. I added garlic with the onions like in other reviews. I thought the dumplings were way to dense - next time I'll use at least half a cup less flour (not sure if it is the climate or what but it was really tough to get the 2 1/2 cups mixed in). I may also add some cayenne next time too to give it a little bit of heat. I finished the chix in the oven at 375 instead of just keeping it warm. However this was soooo good, I'll definitely be putting it in the rotation.

Caramelized Spicy Pumpkin Seeds

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2011
Great recipe - very tasty. I didn't have ground ginger and made it w/out. Still very yummy. I followed previous reviewers comments and used butter and 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon sugar. Great recipe.

Garlic Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
We all loved this. One of the best parts of the dish compared to a restaurant is that when you do it yourself the shrimp doesn't necessarily get overcooked. It was really good. I added mushrooms as someone in the earlier reviews suggested. I wish the sauce was a bit thicker - perhaps will add a little flour next time. But my husband thought it was perfect, just the way it's supposed to be. We will be adding this to the rotation - very quick and easy to make.

Really good dish. Very very filling and rich. Next time I'll add some more veggies - just to sneak more in on everyone. Will also be added to the rotation.

Everyone really enjoyed this dish. The only thing I did different was to marinate overnight. It was very yummy and will be added to the rotation.

This is a great dish. I did take someone's advice in the reviews and coated the chix with egg and panko. This was so yummy. We definitely are adding it to the rotation.

Chicken Mexicala

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
This is a good dish. It needs a little something extra though. It is kind of bland. I mean, we added salsa and some of us added sour cream so that really helped. but if you want to have it by itself then it needs something.

Broccoli Chicken Roli

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2010
Everyone that had this thought it was awesome. I can't understand how anyone thought this was bland. I think the difference is that you must use freshly minced garlic and fresh cut onion. I did add a little sour cream just to help get the mixture good and moist. I also added about an extra cup of cheese - b/c I love cheese. Very yummy dish, I'll definitely make it again.
