After reading some of the reviews, I felt compelled to make some additions to the recipe. I followed the recipe as is, but added 1/2 tsp of ginger, allspice and nutmeg each. Came out very flavorful, fluffy, and light. Loved them. Made samples to take to work with me. These just might be the cupcakes for Easter we've been looking for!!! Thanks urbansunshine!!

Suzy's Mashed Red Potatoes

Loved this recipe. didn't know the secret ingredient to great mashed potatoes was sour cream. will use this as my base recipe for mashed potatoes from now on.

Roasted Turkey Legs

I revised this recipe a little because I was out of an ingredient. instead of celery, I pressed large pieces of white sweet onions into each turkey leg. Then instead of salt, I used the "dry rub for all occasions" (see recipe - http://allrecipes.com/recipe/dry-rub-for-all-occasions/detail.aspx) and instead of water I used chicken broth. The meat was tender and juicy, the outside was browned really well and the taste was OMG!!! My sons (who are my biggest critics) loved them. Will be using this recipe over and over.

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

I used Pinerygirl's suggestion and substituted honey for sugar. came out tasting kinda bland but still very good. spread honey butter on the tops and that boosted the taste. Biscuits came out fluffy and light.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

first time I tried this recipe, I attempted to use a regular recipe that I always use (that included adding ketchup to the meatloaf mix) and it came out falling apart. I then tried it exactly as the recipe called for but still added, 1/2 cup chopped onions, 1 tsp of garlic powder, and used creole seasoning salt instead of regular salt. added a little bit of basil and rosemary. it came out wonderful. had dinner guest over and they were sending pics to their friends. will use this again and again.

Home-Style Scalloped Potatoes

This came out excellente!!!!! Perfect base recipe. I did make my own little alterations though. I was out of onions at the time, so I added about 2 tsp of Onion Powder (for that onion flavor) and one container of Knorrs concentrated stock instead of salt. Then when layering, I added about a 1/2 cup of diced chicken breast on top of each layer of potatoes. Family just loved it!!!!

Caramelized Chicken Wings

My son made these using smaller wings that are usually used for hot wings. Came out excellente. He loves using this recipe. He loves showing off his skills. We adjusted the recipe to make 24 wings not realizing the recipe called for 24 whole wings which would have made 48 sections. the sauce didn't thicken so we added about 2 tbsp of corn starch. thickened right up!!

Sarah's Applesauce

My 14 year old son made this to use in his applesauce bread recipe. He used honeycrisp apples and 1/8 cup of sugar. Came out great with a smooth almost store bought consistency. Made the applesauce bread that much better!!! thanks Sarah!!!
