Bacon Ranch Chicken Skewers

Reviewed: May 26, 2012
Even my pickiest 8 year old scarfed 3 kabobs down...the one who "doesn't like Ranch!" No salt needed, didn't pat them down with paper towels either. Didn't add pepper or have chili paste...had sriracha instead as did another reviewer. I would cook more onion with it for next time. So easy and so worth it! The video is great as well for demonstration of how to thread the bacon on the skewer.

Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
it makes a very good roast...I used a 3 lb bottom round roast with fat trimmed...so not too fatty. Yes sodium is high so add more water and larger cut of beef if you like. Served mine with Pioneer Woman's mashed potatoes and the carrots from the gravy. I like microwaving the carrots first till soft and adding them in the crock for the last 30 min on high. We go through 2 bags of baby ones. Oh and skipped the flour and searing step altogether....and no onions either. Still fab!

Spinach Cheese Ball

Shaped this like a bunny for Easter along with fresh vegetables and a cracker/pretzel tray. I thought it made a large amount. Great with pretzels! (wheat thins would be really good with this, too.) Thanks!

Bacon Wrapped Pesto Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
tasty chicken. I had to put it on a baking sheet under the broiler for a few minutes to get the bacon crisper. Made fresh pesto as well. Don't forget the salt and pepper for seasoning..even with the pesto it still needs it.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

you can always mix the apples with extra flour or corn starch, or add a tablespoon of dry tapioca to help thicken it up.

Chocolate Banana Bread

this tastes awesome! I only used 1/2 cup cup of veg oil instead of margarine as this is so moist as it is....came out perfect! Thanks for a great recipe!

Zucchini Brownies

Love these! Definitely don't skip the frosting, it does make it fantastic! I followed the recipe to a T and mine still turned out cakey, but very moist and delicious. I was amazed at how much the batter rose as it does come together very dry at first. The taste of the cake reminds me of Hershey's perfectly chocolate chocolate cake recipe.

Very good! A tad dry textured, but the peanut butter icing makes up for it. The taste is addicting, however.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2011
yum!!! Worth the amount of dirty dishes I created while making it! This is the best alfredo sauce I have ever made and it does not separate upon reheating. Made as directed first time, used milk only second time and colby and cheddar cheese along with parmesan, still fabulous! Thanks for the great recipe!

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
Creamy. No cracks. Def. double the cookie crumbs, no sugar needed in the crust and 2-3 TBSP butter is fine for it. Bake for one hour, shut the oven off, and forget about it for a few hours until cooled, then cool some more in the fridge. Do this and use a water bath and you will have a perfectly baked cheesecake. Thanks for a deadly cheesecake recipe!

Lebanese Chicken and Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
Yum! I used boneless skinless chicken tenders and removed them after the first 30 min. and kept them covered until the potatoes finished cooking. They were juicy and lemony, the potatoes are delicious! I sprinkled on a bit of cumin and McCormick grinder italian seasoning.

Breakfast Sausage

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
Made as directed, except with 1/2 of salt. Wish I had kept the original amount! This was good, not what I was expecting, but good. Ok, just doctored up my batch, I added one tsp ground thyme, about 1/4 tsp rosemary that I coarsly ground in my grinder, and the remaining salt I had omitted previously. just for kicks, I added a squeeze of maple syrup to the batch. Much better and more flavorful! Will be eating this with pancakes tomorrow morning!

Easy Peach Crisp I

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
very tasty...I used fresh peaches and less sugar on them. The cake mix is very sweet, don't need to add sugar to that. Fresh peaches took 50 min in a 9 x13 glass baking dish...used about 8 peaches cover the dish 1/2 way. Also drizzled a tiny bit of water over the peaches and sprinkled in some corn starch so my peaches wouldn't be dry or runny. (mine were store bought so not all of them were nice and juicy!)

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
Fantastic! Made as stated, but I baked for 20 min until bubbly at 400 and mixed the fresh parmesan with some fresh bread crumbs, about 50/50. Served with sliced french bread (didn't have time to toast, still was devoured!) and tostitos and salsa. THANKS!! Great recipe. We had 10 adults, and this was literally inhaled in no time...so if you have a large group I would reccommend a double batch in a shallow baking dish. (definitely bake, it allows the flavors to blend!)
