Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
I gave this recipe 5 stars not only because of the taste, which is delicious, but because it is so easy to prepare. I have 3 picky teenagers in my house and they all loved this recipe. My college age daughter even asked for the recipe to make it herself, now that is a first for me, so it must be really good. Oh, the only thing that I did differently was use a rump roast since that is what I usually have on hand.

Quick Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2014
Made a double batch of these to serve with beef stew tonight. They were a hit with the family, who are very picky eaters. I did add a little bit of the garlic powder in the mix as well since we all LOVE garlic and used only 2 TBS of butter per batch. I can see making some additions in the future to go with different kinds of entrees, but even on their own as is, fantastic!!

Best Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
Since everyone in my family loves egg rolls, I decided to try my hand at making them at home, and I'm glad I did. I made them according to the recipe the first time, from then on, I improvise with what I have on hand. I never have peaunut oil, so I just use canola, even though peanut would be better, just too expensive. I also love to use fresh minced ginger and seasame oil. Since chicken has been cheaper these days, I poach a breast and shred. There are so many variations you can try, once you know the technique on how to make them. My family loves them with homemade egg drop soup. I have also used any left -over stuffing to make fried rice.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
I have used this recipe for 2 years now and it is fabulous. Whenever I have a bag of apples my family won't eat, I use this recipe. The only thing I have ever changed is I have doubled the topping since my family loves this part. I have made this recipe as it is written also and it is wonderful. This is one recipe I know I will hand down to my daughters. Thanks for posting.

Zucchini Bread II

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
This is a delicious way to use up all the zucchini from my garden. I have made this twice in one week and it never lasts very long, my family loves it. The only thing I changed about the recipe is I used only 1/4 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce. I have grated up leftover zucchini using a food processor and frozen for later use. I already used one of the frozen bags and it worked great. I will be making this throughout the year, thanks for posting.

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2013
I have made this recipe several times and it turned out great every time. I made this to take on vacation to have for easy breakfasts, unfortunately it didn't even make it to our destination because my daughter ate it on the car trip from Indiana to Florida. Recipe is a keeper, thanks for posting. P.S. It can burn easily so make sure you check it regularly as each oven cooks differently.

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2013
I followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfect. I have a small microwave and "giant" lunch bags so I had to lay the bag on its side and I didn't have any problems. As one poster suggested to use the bowl and plate method, I tried that way just before I tried this recipe and it failed miserably so this is my new go to method for popcorn from now on. Love it.

Irish Beef Stew with Guinness® Beer

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2012
I tried this recipe because I love the Guinness stew at a local Irish pub. This was a good substitute, just not as good as I am used too. I will probably make it again, just not when the teens will be home, they didn't care for it much, but what do they know about good food.
