I wish it was St. Patrick's Day. Everyday.
About this Cook
The Lord Jesus Christ is my Savior. My husband, children, and I turn to Him for everything. We are truly blessed to be a family- to play, to pray, and to cook together. Never give up on one another : )
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making sushi together. It is time consuming, but very easy. Drinking wine or beer and listening to great music helps that time :D (Kids can make sushi, too!) A great "two family" or kids grouping event. Let individuals choose their favorite fillings ahead of time- slice/chop and have ready.
My cooking tragedies
Classic new wife move (even though my mom told me what to do over and over)...not cleaning out the Thanksgiving turkey properly.

Chicken Puffs
I've made these for years. Perfect to make ahead of time for those kids' sports nights. They get a healthy meal instead of quick junk! Add some curry to the mixture and season the outside of the roll with a touch of garlic salt/butter before baking...a winner with my kids and their friends. Always make a double batch. They'll eat seconds and thirds!

Stuffed Jack-O-Lantern Bell Peppers
Every year we have guests for dinner, then onto trick-or-treating- lots of kids and parents! This is a great festive meal for everyone. A little freshly shredded parm cheese adds something extra. For the parents- these taste really good washed down with wine or beer : )

Kickin Stuffed Peppers
"Where is the plate with the awesome stuffed peppers? Gone? Oh, I wanted more!" Always the first appetizer to be eaten. Kids love them, too. Add a dash of hot sauce to individual stuffed pepper for an additional kick...I love it hot!
