Swanson® Maple Dijon Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
This was ok- the sauce didn't thicken very well- but it smelled good -the flavoring would have been good if the sauce would have thickened.

Mark's Nearly Famous Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
This is one of my favorite recipes. I don't even like sloppy joes but this recipe I love them! I omited the vinegar and smoke flavoring. Instead of regular mustard I use dijon mustard. I also add a touch of cumin and a clove of garlic to mine. They are so good and it makes a lot - sometimes i freeze some of it and then on nights i am too busy to cook I can just pull it out.

Country Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I have never made quiche before but this recipe it was easy and yummy! I think next time I would only use 6 slices of bacon because the bacon seemed to overpower the dish and I added another egg to it as well. Overall very good and I will definitely make it again. I also added spinach to mine.

Baked Pear

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
Very good- easy to make - I didn't have much juices to baste with so maybe next time I would use more butter and honey- love how the ginger tasted on it- Not too sweet and was very good! I made this as a side to quiche.

Spinach Basil Pesto

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
I thought the garlic was way too overpowering- overall not bad but next time I would use less garlic. Also just a note, I didn't have a food processor so I thought I could do it in the blender-Bad idea! Unless you have a food processor don't attempt this - It was a big mess!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2013
Very good - the flavor was very good- would probably use less flour next time because the sauce thickened too much while cooking in the oven- otherwise perfect!

Old Fashioned Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
I always thought old fashioned mac and cheese would take forever and so much work but it's not- this recipe is great- I used swiss, colby and cheddar for my cheeses - turned out great- next time I think I will put some of the sauce on the bottom of the baking dish first and then start layering.

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
Overall easy to make and good recipe but way too sweet. I only put in 3 cups of confectionary sugar and it was still too sweet for my taste. Next time I will only use 2 - I also used all butter as others mentioned.

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
Awesome recipe- very yummy! I tweeked a little- I only used 2 cans of chicken broth, used 3/4 of a small onion and also sauteed the onion and celery first. I had to add a little water when cooking potatoes because 2 cups broth wasn't enough to cover potatoes to cook. Also only used 2 chicken bouillon cubes, added salt and 1 tablespoon butter towards end of cooking. Only had enough half and half for 3 1/2 cups but it was enough. When plating I added some parsley and a little shredded white cheddar. Very good recipe. Next time will try it with bacon- This is a keeper!

Artichoke Spinach Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
I really like this recipe- it's a great alternative to the standard pasta with tomato sauce - The ingredients blend wonderfully - I used bowtie pasta because I didn't have lasagna noodles on hand and I used half the garlic listed (personal preference) and fresh spinach and it turned out great -the whole family loved it! Definitely a keeper!

Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2013
This was so easy to make and everyone loved it. The first time I made it I just mashed with a fork but my son who doesn't like chunky applesauce didn't care for it. The second time I made it I just threw it in the magic bullet to get rid of the chunks and it was perfect. Both times though I didn't use nearly as much sugar (personal preference) I doubled the recipe and only used like 1-2 tablespoons sugar and that was plenty! Very yummy and will continue to make this recipe!

Gourmet White Pizza with Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2014
This is my favorite pizza recipe and I always get compliments when I serve it- Tastes good without the chicken too when I made it for vegetarian friends. I think the recipe makes more than what you need for your standard store bought pizza crust- if you use all of it it gets a bit messy. Could make two pizzas though.
