Dessert Crepes

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
A bit too eggy for my taste, and I prefer a crispier crepe. The butter chunked up on me when I mixed it with other ingredients. However, my guests have loved the crepes I made using this recipe. I filled it with sliced bananas, nutella, and vanilla ice cream. whipped cream optional.

Pigs in a Blanket

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
It's so easy! I baked a day ahead, and reheated the next...and it was still good! Also, I cracked some fresh black pepper right onto the dough before rolling the hot dog in. Didn't use cheese because it made it a tad bit soggy

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
This recipe worked very well for me and it's super delicious! The best thing I loved about this recipe is how flexible you can be with the measurements, no measuring cups required =) Also I just realized that I used dried oregano instead of basil, but it still tasted great! I think one full can of artichoke is too much, so I used half the can approx. 3 hearts. I also tried this dip with pita chips (stacys twice baked pita chips), and again it was pure deliciousness. Good for any occasion! Plus, you can mix everything a day ahead, and bake when ready. I LOVE THIS DIP!!!!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
so easy and so good. i used pork shoulder (boston butt) and rubbed salt, pepper, and garlic salt all around it. dumped it right into the crock pot with a the root beer. Afterwards, emptied the juices from the pot, added a 1 sliced onion to the bottom of the pot, then the shredded pork with bbq sauce mixed in it. After an hour or so, i mixed everything together. oh boy...i cant stop eating it. OH! and for an extra kick to the bbq sauce, i added sriracha hot sauce (thai hot sauce with a rooster logo on it).

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
These cookies taste AMAZING. I love the soft and crispy edge texture. It's really the butter that does it, use real butter and make sure it is at room temp, otherwise expect uneven mixing. I like adding an extra egg just to make more moist cookies Ive replaced raisins with craisins (dried cranberries), and it was awesome. Ive also used this recipe to make a chocolate oatmeal cookie, just don't add raisins or cinnamon. My friends thought choc. oatmeal cookies was a nice twist.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2010
This banana nut bread is aaaaamazing. I followed some of the reviewers suggestions and added baking powder, cinnamon, and vanilla. 1 tsp of each just to make it easy. As long as you combine all the wet ingredients together first and then slowly add the dry ingredients in 2-3 increments, you cannot go wrong. wet: mix room temp butter plus sugar thoroughly first, then add beaten eggs and vanilla, followed by mashed bananas dry:flour, salt, baking soda and powder, and cinnamon -give it a little stir Finally add walnuts or pecans, then bake. -I found that mixing brown + white sugar yields the same results as just using white sugar. Thanks so much for the recipe and suggestions, my co-workers couldnt stop raving about it =D
