About this Cook
Never learned to cook until after i was married. Didn't feel like cooking, order take out. after years of this and then having kids began to realize how expensive it was and unhealthy. Proud to say down to take-out maybe twice a month, everything else is from scratch.
My favorite things to cook
Shepherd's pie Chili Any Pasta Anything my kids and husband love.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Easter at my Mother's must have Ham and Scalloped potatoes.
My cooking triumphs
soup, i tried for years to make a good soup and all it ever tasted like was boiled water.Since trying some of the recipes on this site i can do at least 8 soups that have a good balanced flavour.
My cooking tragedies
chinese food from scratch, yuck. i do tend to work on a recipe until its perfect so not many tragedies stay a tragedie but chinese food was just simplier and cheaper to order take-out.

Slow Cooker Moose Roast
i do cook a lot of moose. i've done onion soup mix with great sucess and apple juice with great sucess so this should be great. i have to state that my favourite so far way is with cola-cola. it's a little bit sweet and fall apart tender(but use canned coke bottle kind dosen't have the same results)

Jo-Ann's Power Bars
These are awsome. I doubled the recipe for extra thick bars. I made a couple minor changes like pumpkin seeds instead of sunflower seeds and also added flax seed and almonds. For the dried fruit I used blueberries and orange flavoured cranberries (Bulk Barn, Canada). My husband liked them so much he took some on his moose hunting trip.
