Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Great little cookie. I made them with all-natural PB so the flavor was not as strong as a traditional PB cookie. Make sure you do not over-cook these or they will be dry.

Blueberry Sauce

Agree completely with reviews that say to let it cool before serving. If you eat it hot/warm you taste the OJ & almond extract pretty strong. But cooled it was great! Made it exactly as written & served it over french toast.

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
I followed other's suggestions & used butter rather than shortening, 1 C brown sugar + 1/3 C white sugar & increased the PB to 1 full C. And I reduced the temp to 350. THe suggested time is 8-10 minutes - I baked them for 7 minutes & they still came out really dry. :o( The flavor is good but the texture is just too dry & crumbly - almost powdery - like they turn to dust in your mouth when you take a bite. It's a good tasting cookie if your oven's cooperative enough to keep them moist, I guess. But for us this one just missed the mark.

Yum! I use the microwave preparation suggested - 30% power for 7 minutes then 4 minutes at 100%. Turns out awesome!

Incredible. I made it once for a potluck and have had it requested many, many times since. If you love peanut butter you will love this pie.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2008
Good recipe. Not amazing but definitely very good. I made it according to the directions - no changes except that I didn't have buttermilk so I used a cup of regular milk with 1 TBSP of lemon juice (let it sit 5-10 minutes then use it). I'll keep this one bookmarked as a back up but I'm still looking for one I may like better.

Skillet Pork Chops with Potatoes and Onion

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
I didn't love this one. I really wanted to. I made it for my dad for Father's Day & followed the recipe exactly. It was very dry & not very flavorful. I listened to the comment of another reviewer who said her Parmesan-hating husband couldn't taste the cheese - big mistake. My dad couldn't even force it down. But my mom & I couldn't taste the cheese, so... maybe if your spouse is not a Parm fan you should skip this one. I'll keep looking for another yummy pan-fried chops with onion type recipe. This one missed the mark for our family.

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2006
YUM!!! I made these tonight - at the very last minute - and they were great! I had a beef stew simmering on the stove & when it had about 20 minutes to go I thought "I want biscuits with this!" So I found this recipe! I'm SO glad I did! It now has a permenant home in my recipe box. I used 1/4tsp garlic powder rather than minced garlic - I wanted more of a 'punch'. And I feel you can never have too much garlic!! Thank you very much! These were wonderful biscuits.
