About this Cook
I'm a happily Married wife, and Mom of 5. Love staying at home to care for my family and always looking for different things to make dinner funner and outside of my norm growing up.
My favorite things to cook
Love to bake bread. Trying to get away from frying things but doing that slowly. Learning to make those things we eat alot of, so that I can save money at the ever so costly grocery stores.
My favorite family cooking traditions
don't have any, but I'm making them with my family now. Just experimenting and watching everyone pitch in. I'd say the best thing is to make something the entire family likes to snack on and then watch them gather around it like a water cooler and talk of their day without realizing what they are doing. I love that.
My cooking triumphs
Salsa for the first time the other day, fam loved it. Also had to make tortillas by hand so we could have chips to go with it as we didn't have any money to buy any. Everyone loved it. Also made a great batch of sweet rolls the other day and have made them a few times since as well.
My cooking tragedies
Nothing too major really. Having issues sometimes with bread still. I'll get the feel for it sooner or later though.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III
I've been making these now for a couple years. This very recipe. I bake them for us here at the house and I also have to bake them for my husbands work. They love them there. They are very tasty and well worth the time it takes to make them. Easy to follow recipe. so yummy.

Tuna Noodle Casserole I
This was a quick and easy recipe. I was a little worried about the soup in it but it didn't let me down at all.
