Rhubarb Custard Pie II

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2011
Great recipe! Creamy and delicious. I served it to company and got so many compliments. The only change I made was to add some sliced strawberries to the rhubarb.

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Yummy! They turned out pretty good. I followed directions except for using molasses instead of sugar in my cooking water. However the baking length was too long and the bagels would shape easier if the dough had a bit more water in it. Overall a good first attempt at bagels though!

Mimi's Giant Whole-Wheat Banana-Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Very good! I used this as a base - changed the flour to 1/2 whole spelt and 1/2 white (wheat) and used diced and spiced apples (homemade frozen apple pie filling actually) instead of the strawberries. Fantastic! Much better than I thought it would be.

Cuban Smoked Sausage with Chickpeas

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Sooo good. I didn't have sausage so used leftover ham and I didn't have sherry so I used rye and it was still fantastic! Can't wait to try it with the sausage!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
Good as a base recipe but was not my favourite. Needs spices, I added a lot (garlic and onion powder, oregano, pepper) but still needed more. There was way too much cabbage and too little rice for me and my husband. I also had to add more broth and cook longer as it was dry and the rice was still a bit crunchy. Turned out ok, but next time I'll use more rice, way more broth, more tomato sauce, and more spices!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
So good! Marinated the chicken for a day ahead in italian dressing and worcestershire sauce and it was amazingly moist and juicy! Didn't use the corn syrup and used 1/2 dijon mustard and 1/2 yellow mustard. Great sauce! Used mushrooms that were sauteed with onion. My guests loved it!

Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
Overall quite good, I stuck to the recipe, but it could use MORE GARLIC. Next time I will probably double the garlic and add some cream cheese for extra warmth.

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Yummy!!! I didn't have bread crumbs so I used corn flake crumbs instead and it turned out delicious! The half chicken breasts cooked up nice and fast.

Spicy Cilantro Pesto

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
Loved the idea! Had to change it - only had a cup of cilantro so i used a little less oil and nuts. Used a mix of almonds, cashews and sunflower seeds instead of just almonds. Turned out delicious!!!
