Lemon Crumb Muffins Recipe

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2014
Sooo good! Nice and moist. We didn't even add the crumb topping. Just the juice of an extra lemon like other reviewers suggested.

Homemade Vanilla Pudding

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2013
Creamy, thick and pretty yummy as a basic pudding recipe. No strong flavor, though. But I will keep it as a good go-to recipe. Took the advice of others and did dry ingredients first while mixing in wet slowly before turning on the heat. Perfectly smooth. After we added a little cinnamon and nutmeg which made it delicious. Might be fun to try adding other flavors.

Spinach Salad with Pistachio Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
It was good, but neither my husband or I could really taste the pistachio on the chicken. I think if I repeated this one I would use any old nut that was cheaper. You could even just use bread crumbs, because it didn't taste too different from bread crumbs. I also would use a lot less olive oil, maybe half. The chicken was kinda oily, which, when you're trying to make a healthy spinach salad, is not too satisfying.

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2013
I've seen this recipe for a couple years but was leery to try it for two reasons. One being that I don't usually care for brownies with frosting and figured it would be one of those that are only good with frosting (like the cakey ones). Not so! Seriously so good. Perfect chewy texture and the flavor is out of this world. No need for frosting. I threw in a few chocolate chips and pecans last minute, which was yummy. The other reason I never tried it was that you needed a sauce pan. I figured this meant more work. Nope! So quick and easy. Nearly as easy as a mix and a hundred times yummier. When I first poured it in the pan it looked way too shallow like they would be too thin, but once they cooked up they were perfect. So yummy!

We love this recipe. My hubby begs for it. He will go out and buy the ingredients to make sure I make it.

French Baguettes

Four stars because it is incredibly easy to make, looks pretty, and has a fabulous texture. It's a little bland, though, but I would still recommend it and will definitely make it again.

Fudge Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
Tastes similar to a brownie flavor, but I thought someone described the texture well when they said it's like creme brulee. It looks a little funny, but it tastes really good. I took others advice and didn't bake the shell first. I baked it all together at 305 degrees for about 45 minutes. Really a unique and delicious pie.

Jay's Jerk Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2012
This is probably the best marinade I have ever made. So so so good! I did what others suggested by adding 2 cloves of garlic and one extra jalapeno for hotness. We used it with chicken and grilled it. Then added sauteed mushrooms and jalapenos with melted pepperjack cheese on top. Oh my yumminess!

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

This sucker probably puts on a lot of pounds, but the taste and texture is amazing and worth ever pound. So good. I substituted the vanilla for almond extract. Delicious!

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

Best bread recipe ever. Perfect density for thin or thick slicing. Nice and moist. Great flavor. I will never buy store bread again when this is so easy to make, tastes amazing, and is perfect for anything such as grilled cheese sandwiches to toast. Yum!

Great recipe. Didn't even have a thermometer, but by following the directions it set up perfectly. My only complain - couldn't taste the orange flavoring. Next time I will try doubling the extract.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Best apple pie I ever made. My husband is already asking for it again. We poured half the mixture in the pie shell before putting the lattice on, and then the other half after.

Tastes just like you'd hope it would taste. Yummy! Definitely best warm, but also good dunked in hot chocolate after it has cooled.

Soo good. I asked my husband to make this for my birthday cake instead of cake because it is so amazing. I think I ate half the pie myself at Thanksgiving.

Our family is not big into porkchops, but we had a bunch in the freezer. We tried this recipe out and it was pretty good. Probably the best porkchops I've made.
