Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
These cookies are to die for! I followed the recipe for the most part, substituting 1 cup of margarine for 1 cup of butter, using 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips and 1/2 cup semi-sweet chips, and needed an extra 1/4 cup of flour (however, that's just because I use my KitchenAid stand mixer to mix the dough). Instead of dropping by spoonful, I rolled into 1-ish inch balls and slightly flattened. Let them bake for 10 minutes until the top started cracking. And they were heaven! Soft and moist and full of flavour.

Simple White Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
I followed the recipe for the most part, adding the extra 1/4 cup of milk, beat the living daylights out of the butter and sugar and after each egg addition, and used one reviewer's suggestion at alternating the flour and milk at the end... and these turned out just okay. Okay taste-wise, okay consistency, just okay. I'm hoping that icing will take them to another level. I gave it four stars for the simplicity of the ingredients and the consistency of the batter, but otherwise 'meh'

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I've been using this recipe for cinnamon buns for over 2 years and I have yet to have a horrible experience with it. I too liked that these didn't call explicitly for a bread machine, although I do use one (now that I have one, that is) for the dough and they turn out right every time. I'm also a bigger fan of using the 13x9 pan, as I find they spread out and up a lot better than with a muffin tin, and they also don't bubble over with the delicious innards.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
These had a great flavour, great texture, but I found that they were a little greasy on the bottom. That's the only reason they didn't get 5 stars.

So so so good. My husband loved it, I loved it... all around, it's a recipe that I am going to hang on to for a very long time!

Potato Chips

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
These are absolutely fantastic! As most reviewers, I was skeptical, and then completely blown away when they worked and were tasty! I followed others advice and just put a piece of parchment paper straight onto the microwave plate, and used Pam instead of vegetable oil. I'm pretty sure that I won't make these for my husband if I ever want to have some for myself! :)

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2010
Okay. I'm not totally sold on this recipe. If you get a bite without a chocolate chip in it, there's pretty much no flavour. The texture isn't awesome, and they didn't spread out at all. I followed what other reviewers suggested, adding that extra little bit of flour and baking soda, and I also added some cinnamon and vanilla... and there was still zero flavour in the non-chocolate-chip part.

Dark Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2010
Loved this recipe! I followed almost to a T, save listening to other reviewers and using my food processor for the bacon and substituting half-salt in place of sea salt. Everyone who had one couldn't believe that there was bacon in them, or that they tasted so good. Will DEFINITELY make again! When made according to directions, will make 2 dozen mini's and 1.5 dozen regular size.
