great tasting chili!! it's my first time making chili and it came out great!! i added more water so it can have a more soupy consistency-while it was simmering the juice kept drying up but it still was great! & i love spicy food! so right up my ally!

Yummy Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
This recipe was great! I am so in love with honey mustard so now that I have a staple recipe for it I will never have to buy prepared honey mustard from the store again. I made this sauce for another recipe I found here on this heaven sent website called Allrecipes. It was the Mini Crescent smokies and it was a hit! I didn't chill overnight and it was so good at room temp. I am most definitely make this sauce over and over again!

Mini Crescent Dogs

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
I made these for New Years Eve and they were so delicious. My fiance' and I nearly ate all of them before company arrived. My fiance' also gave a good suggestion about these little dogs. He suggested that these could also be good for a quick grab for breakfast when your rushing out the door(when they are already made of course). The next morning i made another batch-and we ate them for breakfast :). I also made a honey mustard dipping sauce for them from this website called i believe honey mustard dipping sauce II. It was so mouth watering! I will for sure be making many more of these in the future! PS-- instead of the plain crescents I used the flacky butter flavored crescents. I love the buttery flavor!

Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
how the recipe is written exactly- you could play with it. I enjoyed this pesto sauce with grilled chicken and rotini(spiral) pasta. The oil is a bit much and i would recommend to cut back some(maybe 1/2 to 3/4 cup). A little salt is needed also. But over all, i will make this again and will edit and tweak it next time. Thanks for the good recipe. I also couldnt find brazil nuts so used a handful of walnuts instead.

Szechwan Shrimp

Reviewed: May 19, 2011
SO where do I begin? This dish was rather quick to make first off = 1 star maybe 2. I tripled the recipe and got a sauce that was a little thin or soupy consistency. That can also be in part to i only put in about 1/2 tsp of cornstarch and about 3 TBSP of ketchup (to omit the kethchupy taste many other reviews refer to). The final product wasn't bad but it wasn't THAT impressive. This is a good base recipe to build a pond. I used fresh ginger and i assed many different types of veggies for ex. broccoli, bell peppers(red and yellow)...I cooked jasmine rice and carrots in a honey glaze from another recipe that I love. In all next time I make this I will play with it a bit more. Add more seasonings or something. Oh i almost forgot- i also seasoned my RAW shrimp with some season salt and garlic salt (hence i like salt)...

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: May 23, 2011
This bread came out great. I wish i could taste the honey a bit more but it was delicious. It was heaven when it came straight out of the oven with a piece of sharp cheddar cheese. Will definitely make again and try to get it to all whole wheat when i perfect this recipe. Thanks!!

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2011
These were awesome! i tweaked the recipe a little so im not sure how it would have went if i didnt add the little tweaks in, but boy am i glad i did! First off instead of the all purpose flour i used whole wheat pastry flour(1 cup). I used the big grain brown sugar because thats what i had and it subsituted very well. I also only used 1/2 cup of the big grain cane sugar). I increased the cinnamon to 1t. i used 1/4 c of craisins and equal parts raisins(1/2 c total of both). I used 1/4 c of local raw honey and 1/4 c of maple grade A organic maple syrup. 2 eggs instead of 1 because all of the extra ingredients i was using. And in my food processor i chop up about a handful of mixed almonds and walnuts also chopped some banana chips together(sorry i just eyeballed the almonds, walnuts, and bananas...no exact measurements). I also threw in some shredded coconut (no measurement). OHH and how can i forget?! I used one vanilla pod and scrapped out all the vanilla seeds out the vanilla pod(some may know it as a vanilla bean but the correct terminology is a vanilla pod), therefore i cut the vanilla extract back down to 1t. in all this was so tasty. i cant wait to come up with the next concoction for this recipe. just to note im a huge sweet lover and this was sweet. if wanted- the sugar and honey and maple syrup could be scaled back more than I did.
