Krista's Sticky Honey Garlic Wings
Good base recipe for this kind of thing, but too sweet and not enough savory. I made it pretty much exactly on recipe, except I added some fresh lime juice at the end for brightness. But the sauce is slightly bland actually. Need more soy sauce, less water, a few red pepper flakes, and a little molasses instead of some of the honey wouldn't hurt. They lack....umami, a savory meatiness. I'll try again but with some definite tweaks. I'll up the soy, reduce the brown sugar, add the red pepper flakes, and perhaps some cooking juices from the chicken. But it was...okay.

Grandma's Sour Cream Pound Cake
First of all, this makes A LOT of cake. I made it per the recipe but cut butter to 1 3/4 cups, cut sugar to 1 1/4 cups, added a touch more vanilla, used no mace, and added about 1/4 cup of pinapple juice as I was making upside down cake. I also added 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of baking soda. I baked at 325 and used a sheet pan. Cake took a little over 2 hours to fully bake. And the cake is PHENOMENAL. Awesome, moist, perfect crumb, light, fluffy, buttery, just delicious. This is a keeper, but I think I'll cut the recipe in half next time.

Phenomenal. Excellent crumb, moist, tasty, perfect. Did add the extra sugar and the vanilla, and it was excellent.
