Oregano-Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
Easy to prepare and makes a delicious light flavor. I will increase the amount of honey and lemon next time to give it an extra kick.

Quick and easy way to use up pesto. Served with a grilled chicken breast on top to make a simple pasta dinner.

Salsa Chicken Burrito Filling

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
Followed the recipe as stated, even using the taco packet, and it turned out great. Great flavor and simple to make. Put a spoonful in the center of a flour tortilla and top with cheese and sour cream.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
So delicious! I used fat-free mayo and a reduced fat parmesan to make it healthier. The dish turned out moist and full of flavor! An added plus is there aren't a ton of dishes to clean up by following the preperation method given!

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
Made the dish exactly as stated in the recipe. It's not fancy but it tastes good and is easy to make. The stuffing provides most of the flavor in the dish so I don't see that it's necessary to add additional spices. I would make this again and add a 2nd can of mushroom soup to make it saucier.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
This recipe as prepared as written exactly is a 3-star. The "buffalo" flavor is very faint. However, the recipe as written is a great base recipe to build from because it is much healthier than something you would order in a restaurant. I would definitely make this again and add Frank's Hot Sauce to the egg whites instead of the water.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
So yummy! The meat falls apart just like a perfec pot roast should. I followed other's advice and used Montreal Steak seasoning and am glad I did. I also subbed beef broth for the water. There is enough juice in the pot after cooking to make gravy. Great recipe!

Arrabbiata Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
We like spicy foods and this recipe is definitely SPICY! If you cannot handle spice then do not make this! This dish is so simple to make and offers up a lot of flavor. No need to make any changes, it is great as is!

Barbecue Beef Cups

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2011
This recipe has been in my family for years and is a favorite! The key is to use basic homestyle biscuits to ensure they cook through. Do not use the large Grands biscuits.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2011
This is my least favorite Stroganoff recipe that I have made. I prefer regular cream of mushroom soup over the golden mushroom soup in this recipe. I would definitely recommend doubling the sauce mixture as the recipe as written didn't make enough for 4 servings.

Chunky Cheesecake Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2011
These turned out moist and very sweet. I melted the chocolate chips and butter in the microwave but followed all other instructions as written. I found that I had to bake the brownies for about 35 min and even still, the center was very gooey. Next time, I would reduce or even leave out the chips in the cream cheese mixture so that it doesn't get lost in all of the chocolate. Overall though, better than a box!

Kimberly's Meaty Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
The best meatloaf recipe I've come across on this site. I took advice of others and decresed the amount of ground beef to 1 1/2 lbs. Decreased the bread crumbs to 1 cup, the worcestershire to 1 teaspoon, and add 1 teaspoon of salt. Bake for 1 hour 30 minutes. End result is a perfectly moist and meaty meatloaf with a delicious tomato sauce topping.

Easy and tasty. Simple to scale down for just 2 people. I used the marinade on chicken and served with an asian style rice for a simple weeknight meal.

Grilled Zucchini and Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
Simple and delicious! I didn't measure the butter (Smart Balance) but just tossed a few dollops on top of the veggies until I felt there was enough. Turned out wonderful without being too buttery.

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
Wonderful macaroni salad. I used roughly 1/4 cup of sugar and it was plenty sweet. You definitely want to let the salad chill for about 2 hrs before eating to ensure all the flavors come together and the pasta is well chilled.

Cream Corn Like No Other

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2011
Great cream corn recipe. To make it healthier I used half & half and reduced the amount since it's thinner than heavy cream. Turned out great. A keeper.

Tangy Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2011
Delicious fajitas that are much different from regular fajitas served in restaurants. Definitely make sure you drain the marinade as you transfer the chicken and veg mix out of the bowl. I followed the recipe as stated and didn't have any problems with the flavor. Very simple!
