My kids LOVED these... and so did I. The cookies from the first pan were almost all eaten before the second pan was cooked.

Loved the sweetness - my husband and I ate them all up before they were even really cooled off.

Spicy Sweet Potato and Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
Very good soup. I had no cilantro or sesame oil but loved it notheless. I did puree the soup at the end too and only added 2 cups of broth so it was thicker.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
This is the best potato soup I've ever made. Making the roux in the separate pot and then mixing it together creates a "souper" creamy velvety soup. My kids can't stop eating it and they are usually quite picky. I often sub bacon for the ham too. Its an easy base to add other veggies or meat too. Could make a great seafood chowder base.

Baked Spaghetti Squash Lasagna Style

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2011
I loved it. Husband liked it and 1 of 3 kids liked it. I used my own sausage & tomato sauce from the freezer and toped with cheese in a 13 x 9 casserole dish. I ate it for dinner & most of the leftovers. If you are looking for something low carb that tastes pretty close to real lasagna or spaghetti this isn't bad. My kids are super picky and didn't like the "yellow noodles" (their words).

Peach Cake II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
I made this with a few alterations and it was fabulous. I had a bag of frozen peaches from our tree in the freezer so I just used the whole bag - which was probably more like 3 cups. They defrosted and were very mushy so rather than big chunks of peaches in the cake it was more like a puree. So having more puree allowed me to cut back on some oil and it was still moist. I added only 1/2 cup of oil. I also cut the sugar back to 1 cup and 1/2 of the flour was whole wheat. I ommitted the nuts also because my kids can't take food with nuts to school and I wanted them to have it for their snack. The cake was moist and flavourful and everyone loved it.

Cheddar Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
Super yummy. My 1st loaf came out dense and really rich... second time it came out really light and fluffy. On my first try I wasn't really happy with it but after the 2nd time I LOVE it. I used old cheddar but it wasn't a really strong cheese taste. I think I might do the dough in the machine & then take it out and bake it in the oven with more cheese sprinkled on top. We had it with soup both times and it was lovely. And leftovers are great toasted for breakfast. Oh - also forgot to mention I used best for bread whole wheat flour for the loaf - no white flour at all.

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
Not being a huge fan of processed cheese this was not mine or my husbands favorite but my kids loved it. I will be trying a recipe with real cheddar next time just due to the personal feelings I have about the junk in velveeta.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
Excellent and super easy to make. My kids loved the soup. I make a similar soup but with red lentils and it is my kids favorite. The only change I made was to use about 1/2 the sausage.

Sour Cream Chocolate Chip Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
This was really good as cupcakes for my kids. I misread and though it would be a chocolate batter with chocolate chips so when I got all of my ingredients out I realized it wasn't. I didn't want to look for another recipe so I added 1/2 cup cocoa powder and about another 1/3 cup of sour cream. Mine turned out nice and light and chocolatley and not crumbly like alot of cakes. I did not do the topper on here either. Since it was cupcakes I made a cream cheese icing. Was sooooo yummy with the icing.

Cream of Mushroom Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
I loved this. I hate mushroom soup from a can but this was great! My 20 month old gobbled it up too. I didn't have green onion, chives or thyme so my version probably would be even better if I followed the recipe. I subbed 1/2 white onion diced really small and some oregano but it seemed to be missing something. The only reason this is 4 stars not 5 is that it was too runny. As per other reviews I would use more flour to thicken it more next time. I also took my hand blender and mixed up a bit. I left lots of big muchroom chunks but was trying to thicken it a bit by pureeing in about 1/2 the mushrooms.

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
This is an amazing dough. My kids love it, their friends love it. Its easy to work with and comes out perfect. I am a whole wheat gal so I used best for bread 100% whole wheat flour rather than all purpose. I've made it with spices mixed in and without and different beers. I pre cook mine for about 10 minutes then top it and finish it off.
